10/10This is my favourite restaurant in Rome. We come back as often as we can when we are in Rome. Staff are amazing, so helpful and kind. The menu is extensive with a lot of daily options. Food is great quality, always well cooked and presented, and good portions. The restaurant itself is lovely to sit in with a view of the old city walls which is very atmospheric. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

9.5/10We were a party of six. This place was recommended to us by the hosts of our Airbnb. We were celebrating a birthday as well. The staff and excellent waiters and awesome food made this place a must if you are near the Vatican.

5.5/10I did a lot of research to find a nice place to eat after our visit at the Vatican. Unfortunately, I believe it was our worst meal in two weeks throughout France and Italy. Our first dishes were flavorless and required salt. I figured maybe they leave it to you to add as much salt as you like. When we got our main dish which was a pasta, I couldn’t take more than two bites because it was overly salted. I feel like something must’ve been off given the reviews, but the food ended up being the worst I had on my trip including all breakfast lunch and dinners .

10/10Da Romolo has been our favorite restaurant since 2019, at our first visit in Rome and every visit since we make sure to have a reservation for at list one or two evenings. With a wonderful, friendly, and welcoming crew of waiters and staff, and absolutely delicious Roman classic food. We will keep on returning every visit, with a true recommendation for many others to enjoy.

9.5/10All I can say is I keep returning, it feels more like an extension of the family than a commercial business. The staff take an interest in suggesting things and making wine pairings. The fact that so many families feel happy to come to Sunday lunch is a great testimony both to the quality of the food and the service.

5.5/10Absolute standard tourist menu, no creativity, standard and quick execution. Neutral taste, slightly fatty. Cantine like, full house today, a bit noisy but still ok. Overall still ok but nothing to cheer about and there are plenty better choices in the area.

10/10We went to this restaurant for a Sunday lunch and enjoyed it very much. We had first and second courses with a side dish and it was all delicious. The service was helpful and attentive. We were allowed to enjoy the meal at our own pace. I will definitely return to this restaurant the next time we visit Rome.

8/10The food here is always good. They asked if I wanted dessert before I had finished my meal and then no one came around for 20 minutes after I had finished. I waited a further 25 minutes for my check. I know it's Italy and service and dinners are slower. I enjoy this. I do not enjoy being held hostage for 45 minutes after I have finished eating.

10/10It is always a pleasure to return to this restaurant when I am in Rome. Over the last few years the staff have come to recognize me which is always a friendly welcome. I would recommend this restaurant unreservedly for food, service and ambience. Tucked into the wall of the city it also adds a significant piece of history to the meal! Many thanks to all the staff.

10/10If you visit the Vatican and don't come here for dinner you're making a mistake. The service was above and beyond, the food was absolutely amazing and you can't beat the prices. They should be charging 3x what they do. Get there early and try to sit upstairs on the balcony it's the cherry on top! 10/10 we might come back before we leave.

10/10I can’t speak highly enough of this trattoria! We visited twice in 5 nights whilst in Rome. I wish we had visited more. My seafood pasta was amazing, so I had to have it on both nights. The service is very friendly and informative. We asked for a local wine and we were brought Capolemole Bianco which went very with the seafood. The desserts are all good but the apple tart is very very good! I would not hesitate to recommend this place and if Iget back to Rome will book a hotel nearby to make sure of another great evening.

9/10We came here based off a recommendation from a friend and boy we weren’t disappointed! The food and wine was simple and delicious! They have a wide variety to pick up. Our server was attentive and helped us select a great red wine for the table. Only thing that was a little subpar was the gnat flies that were places by the table in the back where we were seated. Tried to move tables but was indicated that wasn’t an option. They really did not bother us like I thought they would, so it was a non issue after all. Other than that, it was great!

10/10For a touristy area, the food here is really really good. The only downside for me was the American family next to me practically shouting at each other. I'm American, come on guys, let's use our indoor voices and atop being an international embarrassment.

10/10Wonderful place to dine. We ate here for lunch on a Sunday, and it was obviously much beloved by Roman locals, who flocked there for Sunday lunch after church. NOT a tourist trap. The staff was friendly and jovial, obviously enjoyed working at this restaurant and with each other. The food was absolutely fantastic — primi, secundi, and dolci. Waiter was great with our kids. This was a special dining experience.

10/10I was recommended this restaurant by a friend who had previously visited. Everything he told me about it was true. It felt as though you where in your grandmother's kitchen with a homely vibe. Very welcoming and real authentic Italian food. Was definitely the beat place in Rome we ate at! Would not hesitate to go back in the future.
