10/10It is always a joy to return to this restaurant. It is also a great recommendation that people remember who you are! The food is always consistently good, the staff very friendly and efficient and the family atmosphere most appealing. I also love the attention to details with good table cloths and material napkins. Make sure to book ahead because locals, pilgrims and tourists and even those like me who come to Rome to work in meetings all wish to eat here. Many thanks for another great meal.

10/10Excellent trattoria with varied cuisine and excellent service. Excellent price/quality ratio. It is necessary to book a table in advance, because there are not many seats, and the trattoria is always full.

8/10We arrived on time for our noon reservation. The restaurant is in an alley and looks kind of non-descript from the front. The doors to the restaurant were closed. Eventually a gentleman came over and told us to come back in 20 minutes. We were stuck outside in the 35C sun. We were finally sat at around 12:25. The staff was finishing up their service meeting and all sitting around a table. The restaurant has a side of glass that looks at an old Roman building wall. It's actually very cool and looks much more elegant inside than from the front outside. Our food was delicious! My gf had the Cacio e pepe pasta which was awesome! I had a seafood special with gnocchi. It was very flavorful and tasty. Overall, I enjoyed our dining experience there very much even though we got off to a shaky start with the lackadaisical behavior of staff and the delayed seating. Why take reservations for 12, if you do not want to open until 12:30? But, I would highly recommend their food.

10/10This is my favourite restaurant in Rome. We come back as often as we can when we are in Rome. Staff are amazing, so helpful and kind. The menu is extensive with a lot of daily options. Food is great quality, always well cooked and presented, and good portions. The restaurant itself is lovely to sit in with a view of the old city walls which is very atmospheric. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

9.5/10We were a party of six. This place was recommended to us by the hosts of our Airbnb. We were celebrating a birthday as well. The staff and excellent waiters and awesome food made this place a must if you are near the Vatican.

5.5/10I did a lot of research to find a nice place to eat after our visit at the Vatican. Unfortunately, I believe it was our worst meal in two weeks throughout France and Italy. Our first dishes were flavorless and required salt. I figured maybe they leave it to you to add as much salt as you like. When we got our main dish which was a pasta, I couldn’t take more than two bites because it was overly salted. I feel like something must’ve been off given the reviews, but the food ended up being the worst I had on my trip including all breakfast lunch and dinners .

10/10Da Romolo has been our favorite restaurant since 2019, at our first visit in Rome and every visit since we make sure to have a reservation for at list one or two evenings. With a wonderful, friendly, and welcoming crew of waiters and staff, and absolutely delicious Roman classic food. We will keep on returning every visit, with a true recommendation for many others to enjoy.

9.5/10All I can say is I keep returning, it feels more like an extension of the family than a commercial business. The staff take an interest in suggesting things and making wine pairings. The fact that so many families feel happy to come to Sunday lunch is a great testimony both to the quality of the food and the service.

5.5/10Absolute standard tourist menu, no creativity, standard and quick execution. Neutral taste, slightly fatty. Cantine like, full house today, a bit noisy but still ok. Overall still ok but nothing to cheer about and there are plenty better choices in the area.

10/10We went to this restaurant for a Sunday lunch and enjoyed it very much. We had first and second courses with a side dish and it was all delicious. The service was helpful and attentive. We were allowed to enjoy the meal at our own pace. I will definitely return to this restaurant the next time we visit Rome.
