recently ate at Da Lu in Rome and, unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. started with the stuffed squid with salsiccia as an appetizer, but the flavor was quite plain and nothing really stood out. The fisherman’s soup was also below expectations and lacked depth. For the mains, the veal was just average, and the lamb seemed to be missing flavor and proper seasoning. couldn’t finish most of the dishes simply because they were not very tasty. had much better food experiences in many smaller, unrated restaurants in Rome. On a positive note, the service was good and the atmosphere was pleasant — it was mainly the food that didn’t live up to our expectations.

We were treated like family from the moment we arrived. The service and hospitality were excellent, and this was hands down our favorite carbonara of the entire trip. When we’re back in Rome, we’ll absolutely be dining here again. This was also our New Year’s Day dinner, and it couldn’t have been a better way to start 2026. We also ordered the Beef Wellington and the amatriciana, both of which completely blew us away. Next time we need to leave room for dessert! Highly recommend

The staff, the food, the ambiance, all of it is fantastic here. We had an absolutely fantastic meal tonight, and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

+2This is our new favorite restaurant in all of Rome and my wife and I come to Rome a lot and often. (I am Italian.) We have dined at dozens of restaurants all over the city. You can get a good meal at a good price at a lot of places in Rome. But this is an excellent meal, from start to finish, and it is not much more expensive. The service is Michelin-level. They know what to do, they do it well, and they do it exactly when they are supposed to. The ambience is low key elegant, not stuffy but not homely. And the dishes are to die for. Lately, we have cut back on the typical multi-course Italian meal. But not here. The raw seafood antipasto? Oh, my God! The truffle taglioni is perfect, light, lively, savory. The fish and the dessert are all amazing. Go tot da'Lu. We loved it so much, we reserved for the next night, and canceled our other reservation at a very good restaurant.

This beautiful vaulted place exceeded our expectations. Their piatto di mare was absolutely incredible, fresh and full of flavor.

A lovely restaurant tucked away in a quiet corner of a lively neighborhood. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. Our waiter was attentive and gave us great recommendations. We had a wonderful evening and would love to come back!

Generally a good place. Unfortunately my lamb shank could have used some more time to become tender. Unfortunately, we were the dessert as mosquitos disrupted our dining experience.

It was my best food experience in Roma, from the starter to the dessert, every single dish was great, you will have a nice card, more original than the classic italian one, moreover the restaurant is located in a calm and charming roman place, well done !

Lovely setting, friendly staff, accommodating to our young son’s desire for pasta with butter only. Drinks were great, liked the buffalo mozzarella with truffle, some of the seafood antipasti was really good (shrimps were not our style but that’s ok!) and the truffle and mushroom pasta was divine. Would recommend!

From the moment we walked in we felt at ease and comfortable. Our waiter explained everything and was super patient as we asked questions about the menu. My wife is celiac and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. The food was amazing and the location perfect. A tremendous end to our Roman trip!!

The food was excellent. This is a restaurant for pleasure, it is not for hungry people, because the portions are small.

We had a really great lunch in the restaurant. We got the table outside, the food was delicious and we will definitely recommend this place

The meal was fabulous. The bartender was very attentive and made us delicious non-alcoholic mocktail drinks, asking us what ingredients we preferred and creating something from scratch. The best we have had. The brioche alone was worth going back for, the pastas we tried were lovely, and lamb was delicious. The citrus tart and ice cream desserts also memorable. Overall a top notch ristorante experience.

Loved everything about this restaurant in Trastevere, quite close to Ponte Garibaldi. The best meal my spouse and I had during this trip. Excellent service, great ambience — and the food was superb. We’re definitely going back next time we are in Rome.
