Booked a table for two on TheFork 15 minutes before arrival with the 50% offer. The restaurant was almost empty. A third friend joined about 15 minutes after the booking time and ordered only a small pasta starter. TheFork clearly allowed booking for more guests under the same discount, and I saw on their tablet they could modify it within 30 minutes. Despite this, the waitress refused to include his dish on our bill, even though it would be the same as one of us ordering an extra course. She was inattentive, often chatting with colleagues behind the bar, and refused to speak English though she could. We stayed calm and polite, even created a second account as she suggested, but she was unreasonable and walked away mid-conversation when we pointed out the facts. My CHF 47 veal was two small pieces on steamed vegetables – basic and bland. Both pastas were average and unfinished. Highly disappointing overall. I won’t be returning. 2*'s in case this is a very rare occurance for them.

My friend and I were the only customers the whole evening (while other places around had lots of people at their table). I had booked it more than a week before stating my gluten allergy. There were only few options without gluten (also the pasta alla norma that I wanted and in other Italian restaurants in geneva they can do without gluten I couldn’t as they add flour on the aubergines ). When I took the fish as the one thing safe, I asked if they had bread without gluten - normally yes but not for last minute reserve. I pointed out that I reserved stating the allergy a week before but they had not checked it. Overall polite and friendly but not a great experience.

The key - as always - was the excellent food. Super yummy catana a burata, followed by finely prepared scalopine al limone, and wrapped up with canolis, which were to die for. All this while sitting outside on a calm Tuesday lunchtime period. Very enjoyable, will return.

My dining experience was truly disappointing. The food was both unappetizing and poorly prepared. I was served lukewarm, overcooked calamari that tasted like it came from the freezer. When I sent it back, the waitress only apologized and insisted it was fresh, but didn’t address the quality issue and kept it on the bill. She offered to bring a new one, but confirmed nothing was wrong with the first dish, so I declined. Next came the branzino, which was equally underwhelming. The fish had no flavor and didn’t seem fresh at all. In addition it was served with what appeared to be frozen, reheated slices of red peppers, hard carrots, and a small, overcooked piece of cauliflower. This place used to offer good food, but it’s clearly not the same anymore. To top it off, the kitchen area behind the scenes looked filthy, with dirty floors and walls that gave the impression of poor hygiene. Overall, I felt completely ripped off. I won’t be returning.

No toilet paper not paper towel … no different sort of bread… only sesame bread and having allergy. The waitress didn’t know the difference between tea and infusions and said there were none. Then after insisting she checked and indeed found verveine etc…

The food was nice although portions smaller than expected. It was a quiet dinner, and the service was pleasant. However, only once we looked at the bill at home, did we notice a charge for 2 glasses of red wine, which we did not drink at all! That put a damper on an overall nice evening.
