10/10It was my wife's birthday, and we both did not know the restaurant had prepared a surprise with a firework candle and a birthday song at the restaurant where everybody celebrated her birthday. She loved it and we had great fun with an amazing food. High-level quality mainly the prawns and beef, where the hot stone was a great experience and combination!

When it comes to food, there is no doubt it was great. What we struggled with a bit was the service. The first waitress that even spoke Czech was great and really sweet but the second one seemed to be on speed or something. Randomly popping up behind my back, talking on me without eye contact or talking to my companion that did not spoke English, taking plates from my left (against etiquette), so I never could expect her. The most uncomfortable move was when she came again from left and touched my phone to move it aside (even though I always pay attention to this details and never leave my stuff in a way), so it was completely unnecessary.

8/10We enjoyed the location and food was very good. Served initially said they would bring out a hot stone board and finish preparing the meats & slice for us. Upon delivery of the board and meats - the server abruptly stated to sear each meat approximately 30 seconds on each side and enjoy. That’s fine, but absolutely not what was originally said. It was confusing, but in a way okay since we cooked it to our liking (and perfect). Just misleading & confusing to say it initially, but then drop the board & food and say sear it for 30 seconds and disappear. For the record - took closer to 2 minutes on each side to get my steaks to medium rare, and lamb chops to medium. Loved the place, I believe pricing was fair, and would return. Coincidentally, we watched the couple next to us go through the exact same thing, and confusion — 20 minutes after we had. We looked at them and said “we know” 😉

7.5/10We should have realized by the name that this is a ‘cook your own steak’ restaurant. We were skeptical, but it was very good! We all ordered a different type of meat, and they were all good. No sides come with the meal, everything is a la carte. The only disappointment was the service, it was just ‘average’. We had to ask for water, wine, more water, more wine….you get the idea. They served us our food, and ran off to help other customers. Someone finally came by and told us to cook our steaks for 30 seconds, then turn them over. That’s the only ‘cooking advise’ we got. Very popular busy, noisy place that we’d happily go to again, hoping for better service

10/10The food is excellent quality and the prices are very reasonable. Most of the seafood and meat cuts are cooked at your table on a lava stone, making for a unique presentation. The staff are extremely welcoming, friendly, and attentive. It's one of our favorite places to eat in Amsterdam; we never miss the opportunity to visit at least once while we are there!!

9.5/10We had a fab time celebrating my husband’s 60th. The restaurant put a 60 on the table in petals and sang happy birthday. We had the group menu 3 courses and everyone ,there was 11 of us, enjoyed the food. Cooking the steaks at the table was great!

5.5/10A warm welcome by the staff. Ordered (for two) the T-bone steak and the Angus steak. With chips, salad and one mushroom sauce and one pepper sauce. Two pepper sauces came. It was a novel way of cooking your own steak to the way you like it. Salad wasn't up to much. Chips were ok. Sauces meh. T-bone steak was tasty but the Angus wasn't up to much.

3/10Improve the table service and better atmosphere within the restaurant environment. We didn’t see many people serving us and felt we were left in a corner and forgotten about and felt pressured into ordering food under duress from the waiting staff.

9.5/10The restaurant, known for its exceptional beef, was an excellent choice! The team in Amsterdam was outstanding (which is often the case in this wonderful city!). We had the chance to engage with them, discuss our preferences, and decide together what to order. The experience was flawless, and the meat was truly superb—nothing to fault. However, one surprising detail was the additional €5 charged when we paid in cash, which unfortunately was not mentioned at the time. We only realized this later, as we returned to our lovely hotel.

8/10The restaurant is nice, with a great ambience. Steaks were very good, but the tables are too small for the flame that results from (at the table) cooking stone process. The restaurant is understaffed, so we had to wait for everything, including initial drinks order, check, amd final payment. As it is customary for us, we asked that our tip be added to the food bill. The waitress did and then added a tax to to the tip. This (I know for a fact) is wrong, but it amounted to an extra 10 Euros, so we just made it a point to say something, and left. We enjoyed the food and the ambience, but would not return to the restaurant. Particularly, since there is no shortage of good restaurants in Amsterdam.
