10/10Smooth, soft atmosphere. Sophisticated without being ostentatious.

6/10Nice ambiance and waiter. Food was less than excellent and no one else in the restaurant. Bad sign and no wine selection to speak of

8.5/10Strange how you can walk into a restaurant with certain immediate assumptions and leave having flipped those assumptions on their heads. This is not a boisterous restaurant and has a certain level of pretense, but the superficial impression is overshadowed by the deep care for each bite and sip you will take. We had grace and knowledge personified as our table side guide at De’ Bardi (hi Mohsen!) and could not have felt more gratitude for his being a part of the experience. A tour of the space after a gorgeous and almost three hour dinner was the best way to cap it all off. The attention to detail poured into maintaining the integrity and honoring the history of building is beautiful and beyond admirable. The pride here is certainly earned!

10/10What a treasure of a restaurant. We arrived early and enjoyed time at the bar. The minute we entered and sat down we knew we were in for a very special treat. All our menus choices were excellent as was the service and Ambience. The end of the evening treat was a personal guided tour with the owner who showed us all the secret underground wine rooms and pointed out artifacts which have been repurposed into the design. Even the restrooms are special. Bravo to the team. If you plan a trip to Florence, do not miss an evening at De Bardi. We plan to return again when we come back to Italy

5/10The decor is very dated and cheesy, especially in the front part of the restaurant. The back part is charming. They have TVs with ads of their own restaurant in the front, which is odd and unattractive. Our asparagus appetizer was great, but our main courses were not good. The duck was not exactly warm and was tough/chewy. They have some hilarious misspellings in the menu as well. The place was near empty on a Sat night. The servers were good and very attentive.

10/10We booked this restaurant for our daughter's graduation celebration and were wowed by the fantastic food and beautiful atmosphere. This gorgeous restaurant would be a top spot in any major city and our meal was certainly the best and most interesting I've enjoyed on my many trips to Florence over the last 30 years. Although it is well located... just steps from the Ponte Vecchio on the Oltrarno side of Florence...this is not a typical tourist spot. There were six of us that included a native Italian from Bologna and three expats who have lived in Italy for a combined 16 years. We all thought the menu was perfect...small and with just the right amount of innovation and variety, but nothing that "tried to hard" (if you know what I mean). We each ordered multiple courses so amongst our group, we sampled quite a bit of the menu. The chef kicked off our dinner with an amuse bouche of a delicious scallop accompanied by a small side of pappa al pomodoro. For the following courses we chose Sardinian oysters, a scallop gratin. steak tartare, asparagus tortoni, tortello with cod, roast chicken, octopus and a tomahawk steak.. Only two of us had room for dessert...a tiramisu they both raved about. Of course we topped off with a few bottles of wine. I paid the bill and quite pleased with entire experience. We will definitely return.

10/10This was a wonderful meal in a beautiful space. Attentive service, delicious food and an incredible atmosphere. Will definitely return. Cocktails before dinner in the bar were well-made and once again, a great space.
