Lovely evening in a beautiful space with wonderful service and great food. You can’t ask for more! We will definitely return.

Ambiance and service were great (photos were accurate). Food was amazing. Cheese board was so good (our 15, 17, 20 year olds really enjoyed it). Special chocolate lava like cake was so delicious that we ordered another. Grilled veggies and side potatoes also yummy. Same with the filet steak. We may just need to come back.

Our second visit - we ate here the first and last nights of our five day stay. It’s a beautiful old interior with glass floor panels revealing the cellars below. Staff are very friendly and the food is great!

The food was absolutely delicious! We had originally booked for 8 people, but in the end only 3 of us could make it. The staff handled the situation so well, they were incredibly kind and attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Such lovely service and atmosphere!

The food and location are both fabulous- I’ve eaten around the world and never seen a setting like it. The staff was friendly and spoke fluent English. The filette Florentina was grilled perfectly to order. A slight snafu on our bill was quickly remedied by the gracious manager. Highly recommend this restaurant — we’ll definitely be back!

Love it, good food, excellent services, unique ambience

Very unimpressed, went with high hopes, lady very helpful, gentleman not helpful at all, prices listed on the form are 30% cheaper than the real price on there menu. Then they try too not give the discount, you must read the bill and say I want the discount, €22 for a small pasta and €24 for carbonara when fork says €16z Tourist trap Go elsewhere

Second visit of the week after having lunch a couple of days previously. Good service on a busy evening. Food very good quality pasta and steak. Happy to revisit when next in Florence.

6 diners in Florence, this was simply the best. Nice interior, very good food. The Ossobuco was probably the best I ever had. Thanks for a perfect evening!

The ambience was very nice and excellent service ,however food wasn't very hot and a bit stoggy pasta. I've had the same dish better elsewhere.

Great service, delicious food and a beautiful setting.

The food was delicious, the staff was was welcoming and very attentive and the setting/ambiance was beautiful with glass floors over the wine cellar, beautifully refurbished brick walls and perfect lighting. After dinner Louis took us for a tour of the wine cellar and private dining room. there are also cooking classes offered, Wednesday's class was fully booked. This was an amazing dining experience. if you are in Florence it is worth a try.

The wine list was disappointing for a place pretend to emphasize on wines. Food was average good. Staff are friendly but not very sincere. It uses marketing gimmick such as heavy discount (30% claimed on TripAdvisor) to book online but nothing was true at the end.

Starting with the good, the decor & ambience was beautiful and the initial welcome was great. We then waited nearly 20 mins before being approached. When we finally ordered, we ordered the red wine that we had chosen to go with our food. Only as we were ordering where we told that the flambéed pasta dish that two of us had decided on was not actually going to be flambéed at the table and just comes from the kitchen. Seeing as the other two in our party had already ordered we went with it. The food arrived 5 mins later and before the wine…way too quick to have been cooked fresh….The ravioli & Osso Buco were really good but the Pasta dish was awful, it had obviously been cooked a long time before as was dry, claggy. We were then made to feel inferior by requesting something as ‘low class’ as an amaretto and an Italian brandy after dinner whilst the Sommelier tried to upsell high-end dessert wine instead. Overall opinion: style over substance.

Everything good. Nice location. Good price.

Smooth, soft atmosphere. Sophisticated without being ostentatious.

Nice ambiance and waiter. Food was less than excellent and no one else in the restaurant. Bad sign and no wine selection to speak of

Staff was very kind. The atmosphere is beautiful and the food was delicious!

Strange how you can walk into a restaurant with certain immediate assumptions and leave having flipped those assumptions on their heads. This is not a boisterous restaurant and has a certain level of pretense, but the superficial impression is overshadowed by the deep care for each bite and sip you will take. We had grace and knowledge personified as our table side guide at De’ Bardi (hi Mohsen!) and could not have felt more gratitude for his being a part of the experience. A tour of the space after a gorgeous and almost three hour dinner was the best way to cap it all off. The attention to detail poured into maintaining the integrity and honoring the history of building is beautiful and beyond admirable. The pride here is certainly earned!

What a treasure of a restaurant. We arrived early and enjoyed time at the bar. The minute we entered and sat down we knew we were in for a very special treat. All our menus choices were excellent as was the service and Ambience. The end of the evening treat was a personal guided tour with the owner who showed us all the secret underground wine rooms and pointed out artifacts which have been repurposed into the design. Even the restrooms are special. Bravo to the team. If you plan a trip to Florence, do not miss an evening at De Bardi. We plan to return again when we come back to Italy

The decor is very dated and cheesy, especially in the front part of the restaurant. The back part is charming. They have TVs with ads of their own restaurant in the front, which is odd and unattractive. Our asparagus appetizer was great, but our main courses were not good. The duck was not exactly warm and was tough/chewy. They have some hilarious misspellings in the menu as well. The place was near empty on a Sat night. The servers were good and very attentive.

We booked this restaurant for our daughter's graduation celebration and were wowed by the fantastic food and beautiful atmosphere. This gorgeous restaurant would be a top spot in any major city and our meal was certainly the best and most interesting I've enjoyed on my many trips to Florence over the last 30 years. Although it is well located... just steps from the Ponte Vecchio on the Oltrarno side of Florence...this is not a typical tourist spot. There were six of us that included a native Italian from Bologna and three expats who have lived in Italy for a combined 16 years. We all thought the menu was perfect...small and with just the right amount of innovation and variety, but nothing that "tried to hard" (if you know what I mean). We each ordered multiple courses so amongst our group, we sampled quite a bit of the menu. The chef kicked off our dinner with an amuse bouche of a delicious scallop accompanied by a small side of pappa al pomodoro. For the following courses we chose Sardinian oysters, a scallop gratin. steak tartare, asparagus tortoni, tortello with cod, roast chicken, octopus and a tomahawk steak.. Only two of us had room for dessert...a tiramisu they both raved about. Of course we topped off with a few bottles of wine. I paid the bill and quite pleased with entire experience. We will definitely return.

This was a wonderful meal in a beautiful space. Attentive service, delicious food and an incredible atmosphere. Will definitely return. Cocktails before dinner in the bar were well-made and once again, a great space.
