3.5/10We were seated quickly and that was the fastest thing that happened. We sat for about 20 minutes before we were asked about drinks or appetizers, and the server seemed disinterested and annoyed by our existence 😂 appetizers took another 30 minutes to come out, and then the server didn't return for almost an hour. We did not order more food.

10/10We are from America. I have never had Dutch food, but, it was outstanding. The service was outstanding, as well.

7.5/10The food and the location of the restaurant was great. The staff was a bit short with us and I was a bit bothered by her lack of information regarding ingredients of the food, but she was friendly and professional otherwise. I would always go again

9.5/10We made reservations easily online and walked over after touring the Van Gogh Museum. We arrived 35 minutes early but they seated us right away. We had a leisurely and delightful meal with Dutch food. It was a little loud due to some large groups and the desserts were a little dry but it was a great experience.

4.5/10They did not have our booking. Very warm in there. The tables were situated very close together. I Ordered the beef stampott which was tough and gristly. The actual mash was very good and creamy. The gravy was tasty. I Explained about the beef to which I got no response.

5/10The stuff were friendly. The food however was very fatty so I didn’t enjoy it. It all said it came with a side of vegetables but didn’t. The apple pie however was very tasty.

10/10We had a party of seven and made reservations based on recommendations from our travel agent. The food and service were excellent. Many of us tried the Stamppot and it was delicious. The atmosphere was very comfortable. If you’re looking for good Dutch cuisine at reasonable prices I highly recommend.

10/10Our family from the states ( Texas and California) had a get together in Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium. We were told by a friend in Houston that when we are in Amsterdam we must have dinner at the Blue Dutchman. It did not disappoint. The food and service was outstanding and the prices were very reasonable. I shared the butter balls and bread/ three spreads for appetizer then had the salmon with the asparagus and mashed potatoes for my entree. I then shared the apple pie and had a decaf cappuccino for dessert. Everything was awesome; especially the bitter balls and the pie.

5/10Candidly, we were disappointed. Crowded seating, good but not great food, average service (forgot our water, long delay before main plat, waiters standing around, no one offering second drink). There are other better traditional restaurants.

10/10The restaurant was open early and the staff treated me like a welcomed guest for my first meal in the Netherlands, as a tired and jet-lagged traveler who’d arrived just four hours before. The beer selection was good and the food tasted homemade. Slavinken (meatball sausages wrapped in bacon), Snert (pea soup with rye bread and smoked bacon), and Poffertjes (puffy donut-hole pancakes) are all perfectly done, seasoned just enough to accentuate their natural flavor. I ordered these as a 3-course special menu combo for €32, and somehow it was rung up as only the main course plus the beer. By the time we realized it on the receipt, I’d already paid and the restaurant decided to honor the much lower price I’d paid.

10/10So glad we found De Blauwe Hollander. We wanted to try some local food and they had what we wanted and it was delicious! The servers were very friendly and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We highly recommend dining here!

10/10Wanted to go to a traditional Dutch restaurant and the De Blauwe Hollander was recommended and did not disappoint. We managed to book a table just as well as the restaurant was busy from when we arrived to when we left. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food was great tasty and plentiful, would recommend the Stampot dishes.
