The chef showed us the fresh fish and I was so happy to see actual real fresh salmon that was bot farmed. we went for the steak and lamb chops and ended up with all seafood plates...which were divine!

Everything about our dining experience was so good that we went back a second time before we left for our next destination. This is a very popular restaurant that locals frequent.., not tourists like we are… a most memorable meal on every level. ( the chef has been at his craft since he was 15 and is now in his 70’s if gives you any hint how special his food is!

The halve maen is a great restaurant in the centre of Aalsmeer. Be sure to try the catch of the day, it’s delicious! Don’t forget to take a look at tge deserts :) We will be back!

It is wonderful, each time I visit this restaurant, that the chef comes to the table to present the ‘catch of the day’. We started of with oysters, then coquilles and finally tuna. Each coursecwas delicious. Highly recommended!

The chef brings all available fresh fish to your table for you to chose from. Much appreciated. We started with oysters, then scallops, then tuna and sole. As dessert a pannacotta. We choose a nice Australian Pinot Noir to go with the meal. Great food, good service and a nice atmosphere! It comes with a price, which I happily paid.
