The staff were cheerful and attentive; the beers well-served and some of the starters were absolutely fine, if nothing special. It was in the mains that the experience fell short. My Zuurkool met rookworst was only OK and - very unusually for me - I had to add salt to bring out some taste; my friend's Hutspot met gehaktbal was worse - the meatball a tasteless, over-processed lump that didn't really taste of either beef or pork. The restaurant is in a tourist hotspot, and in the immediate area there are a number of restaurants offering Dutch cuisine at slightly higher prices but with significantly better outcomes on the plate. I assume that De Hollandse Pot has decided to win market share with competitive pricing, but I would be disappointed if visitors left NL with their impressions of Dutch food framed solely by what they experience here. There are considerably better options, at slightly higher prices, in neighbouring eateries.

Food was excellent. Real hearty meal full of flavour and good portion. . Service was good and friendly staff. Would definitely go again when in Amsterdam

The restaurant offers good food at a price that is fair for Amsterdam. However, the ambiance was somewhat noisy.

The fried fish (with french fries) was too fishy, really not good, we did not finish the fish at all. The fries were fine. The traditional dutch food with the mash potatoes were only okay. Would not go back.
De Hollandse PotHello Trang, We are sorry to hear about this! The fish you ate is fish&chips, but made with traditional dutch fish named Heek Filet. A beautiful restaurant in a gorgeous location..this was such a great experience as we were looking for hearty Dutch food and was just perfect! Highly recommend the meatballs..a stand out for us ..would highly recommend

Food quality was ok. However, quantities were small. Also, Euro 6.50 for a 1 litre water bottle was a bit steep
