10/10Its not the forst time for us eating in De Peerdestal, I'm in love with this place since the first time. Very friendly staff, efficient and professional service, delicious food all the time and ofcuz the place itself is so charming! This became our favorite restaurant in antwerp already! =)

10/10Great comfort food that is fresh and well prepared. The daily soup is always very good. Friendly service and pleasant ambiance. I am a regular guest here. This time, I came for Sunday luncheon.

9/10Delicious simple traditional food. Too cowardly to try horse but did enjoy the gratinated scampi and great steak. Sadly they had run out of lemon maccroons but lemon sorbet was lovely. Very lively atmostphere. Quirky decor including disembodied horse and juke box.

7/10Nice atmosphere, polite stuff but mediocre food. Mussels were raw and full of coriander that was not written on the menu. Filet was not a real filet!!! It was probably an entrecôte . Only fries were nice

9.5/10Loved the ambiance. Upscale but not formal. Instead, lively and unique. We had a table upstairs overlooking the lower level that was perfect. The beef filet melted in your mouth, the lobster with fried leeks and linguine was delicious and the vegetable burger was really flavorful.. Lots of choices for dessert, too. Definitely recommend!

8.5/10For starters the foie gras and the scallops which were both great. For mains I had the aged Entrecote with a Tipsy beer which accompanied it perfectly. Tarte tatin for desert. Would definitely repeat

9/10Food was great. Rich spicy broth for the lobster and shellfish. The lobster really should have been cracked before putting it in the stew. Was very messy to have to fish it out of the stew.

10/10Had a fabulous time here. We went for the august set menu with unlimited wine- we chose the Italian wines. Everything was fantastic. The food was really good quality and plenty of it. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. A real buzz and very unique restaurant. Will definitely eat here again and would recommend to others.

9.5/10This restaurant is excellent in what regards to the food and drink. We tried horse steak and Lobster. Lobster was the best one I’ve ever eaten. Wine was really good as well. Service is not what you expect for this food, but was ok.

8/10My horse fillet was excellent - very soft (medium rare as recommended by the house) and tasty. My friends had medium-well done horse steak and found it a bit chewy. Presentation is very classic, such as sauce Bernaise, French fries, and a tiny vegetable side. It's a pity there aren't more veggies available as an additional side. Overall, if you want a classic, traditional, meat-centric meal, De Peerdestal is a good option, especially if you love horse meat. Service was friendly but a little bit clumsy, you may have to ask twice to get what you want. The interior is very nice, old-fashioned elegance; a table on top of the balcony has a very airy feel.

10/10In my view, one of the best restaurants in Antwerpen. The staff is amazing, the customer treatment is very friendly, personalized and attentive, we really felt pampered. We had some personal celebration, so the staff came out with a surprise detail - that was so nice of them! Despite many clients at the restaurant, the waiters were quite fast to serve wine and food. We asked some specific questions about one wine on the list, and the waitress took extra effort to call and find out the details for us, up to the grape contents. We ate fish and seafood dishes, that were of a very high quality and generous size. Nice wine and champagne list too. We certainly recommend this place and will be sure to come again when we happen to be in Antwerpen.

8.5/10We made reservations on a Sunday night at 6:30pm. We sat down, got the menu, chose their set menu and 3 minutes later (?!?) our starter arrived. Okay, great food! Our plates were cleared and at the same moment our mains arrived, a big tournados and the fish, really good again. But what should have been a night of dining was finished in 50 mins? Guess what came at the same moment as they cleared the plates? The dessert menu and the question what we wanted. This was my only chance to slow things down, and I did. I don't know if this is common practice there, but this service didn't even deserve the miniscule 4 euro tip I left.
