Tasty! I love this place. The teff flatbread absorb all the juicy flavours while you enjoy your dinner with your hands. Service was nice too, thanks!

we waited 1,5 hours to have our food, the restaurant was super noisy, the vegan food was ok but nothing very special

Smaak van Afrika brought the vibrant flavors of Africa to Rotterdam. The food was delicious, authentic, and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and attentive. Overall, a fantastic dining experience

The staff were very attentive and friendly, gave good recommendations as well. The menu had a lot of options for people with all dietary requirements and was really delicious!

This was our first experience of more traditional African food and we loved it. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive and the food quality and taste was great. We will be back when we return to Rotterdam and we will recommend it to our friends.

The taste of everything was amazing! We had the smaak van africa tasting menu for 2 people and it was a very generous portion. 3 people could probably eat quite well from it too. There dessert selection isn't impressive, probably because you get full from the food already. We had the baked banana bailey's, it was okay but I wouldn't have it again, the actual food was enough. And their shiraz was too notch as well. Servers very fast and friendly and the decor was immersive. Great experience overall!

the food was tasty and both the manager and the waiteress were super-nice. the place is a bit crappy but also cosy, though it was far too hot inside price was reasonable for Dutch standards and they offer a range of African beers to have the complete experience

Food was very well presented, portion sizes were great, and it was delicious! Staff were very friendly. The only thing i dont recommend are the banana beers, but they’re served in a coconut bowl which is nice

Very well decorated place and very appropriate menu selection. I enjoyed drinking African beer from a coconut and eating without cutlery, just wasn’t blown away by the food

We had a group of 40 people and were served very promptly! Also very easy to arrange beforehand; would really recommend for large bookings. Food was great as always.

We had an amazing time here. Please go there and take your time. Do not expect things to be super quick. Just chill, eat delicious Ethiopian food and get drunk. LOL. We will definitely be back. Get the Ethiopian rum cocktail. Again: eat, have a great conversation and get drunk. Enjoy

The food was amazing, the staff was super friendly. The experience was very unique and would love to come again. Is the perfect place to come with a big group, the more the merrier :)
