The poor waiter.He had to manage the hall all alone.None to help him.We really wanted to pay by forkpay, which the restaurant was unable to provide. Would like to know what the real reason was.

The restaurant has changed management/waiters several times since January 2023 but reassuringly, the chef remains the same. Despite noticeable variations in service standards during this period, the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff remain extremely good. As regular clients for over 10 years, last night’s meal for 5 was as delicious as ever - My Jalfrezi was the best I have ever eaten, in France or the UK ! Others in our party ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Karahi and Lamb Palak - all of which were of an equally high standard. The new waiter is still learning his way around but was full of good willing and managed very well at looking after us. The Indian beer was cooled to perfection, however the 1/2 bottle of white Sancerre deserved to be better chilled prior to serving, Overall a great meal - We will return again soon !

Despite the dinky interior, the food is really good -- one of the best biryanis I can remember eating in Paris -- and the bill, discount included, was quite tiny. Quick and courteous service. Worth a try.

The host seemed a bit angry with us for arriving about 15 minutes too early for our reservation, even though the restaurant was empty and it was raining and stormy outside. However, he sat us down without a problem (but with attitude). The dishes were quite small compared to other Indian restaurants we've been to in Paris, and when we ordered tea and dessert we got the dessert 10-15 minutes *after* getting the dessert (and eating it without the tea). In addition, one of the windows in the restaurant kept blowing open with the wind (it was storming, as I said), and we were freezing most of our time there. The 40% discount is great, but I would not go back there again.
