Great service, and very good food!

The food at Demetra is beyond exceptional. Wow. Will definitely go back. It is a bit overly lit with bright white light, so my only recommendation would be to replace some of those lighbts with warmer, dimmable bulbs!

Delightful meal to celebrate our cousin’s birthday. The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. Everything we ordered was delicious and the portions were great. Make sure you leave a little bit of room for the Tiramisu which was outstanding m.

One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever been to. Nice intimate and cosy restaurant with just a few tables, the food was superb and the service was great. This will be my 'go to' Italian restaurant whenever I am in Amsterdam

Demetra is a fine little Italian restaurant. Intimate but not claustrophobic. It's menu is compact, yet it covers all of the bases of choice and taste. Bolt on the friendly staff and you have yourself somewhere I would happily recommend to the world.

Food was great, service was great. Very kind waiters, really kind and patient!! And the decorations there were so cute. Had a lovely time there and I truly recommend this place to everyone!

Every city needs a great Italian restaurant. Here you have it in Amsterdam with Demetra. Food was just perfect, tasty and atmosphere was so Italian. We are a damily of four and all enjoyed the the meal. Recommended.

Following an extremely warm welcome we had beautiful food, rounded off with probably one of the best Tiramisu dishes we have ever tasted. Unfussy dining with super ambience made it a most enjoyable experience.

The friendly waitress speaks English and a little Dutch. The starters were okay, the burrata was good, as well as the bread. The chicken was cooked well but the wine sauce with rosmarin was not much more than butter. In the truffle risotto was hardly any truffle, so we had two main courses without any flavour. Disappointing.

I ate the best pizza I have eaten in my entire life here, no joke. I still think about it multiple times a day. I will be thinking about it for the rest of my life. I also got given a free limoncello shot as it was my birthday which was such a nice gesture! This place is a complete gem and I cannot recommend it enough.

The place was wonderful. My husband said the lasagna was the best he ever had. Service was excellent as well. Fantastic experience.
