10/10What a great taste….felt like eating in india. Special mention to chef Govind. The portions and the selective side dishes in Thali were perfect. Must try , strongly recommend

6.5/10Dal Makhani, paneer tikka, épinard tikka was nice. Aloo chaat did not feel fresh , quantity of pani in pani puri was less. Kofta korma had the épinard tikka

8/10+1Too expensive if we want to have 2 or 3 course meal compared to other indian restaurants. However the ambiance is nice even if its too noisy.

We also take into account your comments about the prices. It's true that we are more expensive than some other Parisian Indian restaurants, because of our entirely homemade cuisine which requires 5 people in the kitchen, but also we use free-range chicken, red label salmon, spices purchased from from the best manufacturers in India,... we pay attention to the quality of the products and the purchase prices are much higher for us. 10/10Excellent restaurant. Only problem is whenever we ask for fork discount they conveniently say they don't really know the system .on our second visit to the restaurant they did give us a discount but saying they don't really know the system. Regards

6/10I have been to this resturant pre-covid many times however today was the first time I've been since Covid. The standards have really dropped. Whilst the Chat option was lovely, the curry portions have significantly reduced and the taste has also diminished. The waitress who served us was lovely, however the male waiter was abrupt and unfriendly. I had requested for an extra plate and he refused twice saying there wasnt any and when it is only when I pushed he begrudingly brought one out. My search for a great Indian restaurant continues...

5/10How could a restaurant drop its most iconic dishes and hope to be good without replacing them? I have been a huge fan of desi road on all my trips. And recommended it to people back in India as one of the best. This time I went there to find that their staple… aloo jeera, dal, lasoonic palak and even dal had all changed. They have sweet potatoes now and the usual typical basic palak paneer now. They had a light almost sauteeed palak and baby potato jeera aloo which was one of a kind in the world. Their dal was distinctive too. We were told proudly they don’t do these anymore!!!! Sad. Masters of how to kill a great thing.

4/10The entrés are the only good thing about Desi Road but the service and the atmosphere at the restaurant do very little to make up for it. I'm an Indian and having heard good things about the restaurant, I've come here twice - once previously with other Indian friends and this time around with friends from other countries. If you reserve a table on TheFork, the restaurant will ensure that they seat you at the round table at the end of the corridor - next to the stairs and between the toilet and the kitchen. With so much movement going on, we asked thrice to be seated upstairs. Finally, when it became inconvenient to for them to ask us to keep moving our chair, we were offered another table (but even this time, they did not accommodate our request for moving upstairs). Anyway, the rude service and dingy atmosphere didn't make up for the overpriced food at the restaurant. The portions were small and the lamb was served with too many whole spices (which is unusual for Indian food and which ruined the taste for us). would not go again.

10/10This is a must whenever I am in Paris. The food is fabulous!! Love the naan with dipping sauces. The chicken tikka masala is wonderful. Good wine list. Highly recommend this little gem.

10/10This is nice small and cosy place with a difference. The menu is a small selection of nice dishes. The veg thali is delicious. Chicken tikka was also really nice. The service was really good.

8/10Small restaurant with good Indian cuisine. We were warmly welcomed for an afternoon lunch. The waiter explained the food and the Thali menus. The power in the street/ district failed for approximately 20 minutes. For a moment we sat in the twilight. Despite the inconvenience for the restaurant and its customers, the waiter and the chef remained calm & friendly and explained what was going on. Fortunately, most customers understood the situation that the staff could not influence. With a small delay we received the ordered dishes. The food was delicious and the service of the staff good.

4/10No point doing the tous restaurants offer if it means offering a mediocre menu ad boring dishes with almost no choice. The starter was too big and over heavy on the chickpea sauce. Main was not great but ok. I loved this restaurant before and now will never come again so surely that is the exact opposite of what the promotion is aiming at??

8/10I asked for a meal with chicken and they gave me veggie meatballs instead. They did not accept that it wasn't chicken but they gave me curry chicken when I told them I was a little bit disappointed. I had a very beautiful moment in the place appart from that, the food was delicious and I will go again for sure.

5.5/10Went to the restaurant after getting positive reviews from a lot of people, however, even though the food quality was good, the food itself wasn't tasty (I ordered a grand assortment of the chef, poor choice) - much better 'Indian tasting' restaurants in Paris definitely. Wouldn't recommend for people looking for authentic Indian food.

10/10We loved this place. We went twice this week as the food and whole experience was so good. We are experienced India travellers and appreciated such great food here in Paris. The food was very tasty yet not overly spicy. Also not oily which is important to us. The very helpful service and air conditioning was most appreciated. We will be back!

10/10Some of the best authentic Indian food I have had in Paris. The restaurant has managed to maintain the balance between using local ingredients and the original flavours without trying to cater to a local palate. The 'thalis' or Indian 'plat composé' are good value for money.
