Had a great double-date here! Excellent service, lovely ambiance and music, and amazing food. The portions/prices were terrific too. We’ll all be back to try more tasty dishes.

Dined on a Thursday at 9pm in February. The food and white sangria were good. They have some dishes that were from Cape Verde, Brazil and Angola. We almost had the place to ourselves, except there was a lively group really enjoying themselves, drinking and dancing to the live musician, who was fabulous!! Made our dining experience memorable! Note, they included a tip for the musician which I was good with, as I was going to leave him a tip. Worth a visit!

It’s the best Kupa I’ve had and the pasteis at the beginning are also amazing! The service is friendly and honest. The drinks were just OK, par for Portugal. I went there once and enjoyed the music so much but this next time I went, it was ridiculously loud -like way too loud of a DJ, who thinks he’s in Wembley Stadium instead of a tiny restaurant/bar. It made it hard for us to talk and we ended up leaving kind of early. I also had my heart set Cape Verdean music like the first time, but unfortunately it wasn’t Cape Verdean music, the live or the DJ, so I guess it just means to go there and enjoy it, but find out who the artist is first. I also don’t like the fact that you have to pay a cover for the artist if you’re eating dinner I understand if you’re just coming for a drink you should pay that cover but I don’t think they should charge everybody three euros even when you’re eating for the music that you didn’t even enjoy. Go for the Catchupa!

Great fun place with Cabo Verdean music! Great menu and friendly staff! Even got to dance a bit!

It was our 1st time at this restaurant and we enjoyed Cape Verde hospitality, tasty food and ambiance. The music was hand selected by Jair, the owner who greeted us in person and we felt like part of the family! We highly recommend to anyone interested in CV culture, music and food. We can’t wait to come back next time we are in Lisboa! Muito obrigada!

We loved the place. Starting with the really nice staff, and the chill environment, with live music from Cabo Verde, played by some of the staff, giving an amazing mood to the restaurant, and then the food.... The food was just out of this world. I ate the best Shrimp Curry of my life. If it wasn't for the good manners I would lick that plate until I was able to see my reflection in it. I simply have no words to describe that flavor. Just try it, you won't regret it!

The meal was absolutly good :)! Home made paté for entrance, cachupa and shrimps moqueca as main dish ( must try) , home made chili sousse and a warm welcoming. Thank you!
