The food was tasty, as expected—not gourmet-level, but rather a nice, honest, good-quality restaurant meal. Portions were appropriate, and pricing was fair for the service and quality. The servers were attentive, and the ambiance was lively. There were several vegan/vegetarian options available. We love it! Definitely our new go-to restaurant in Nijmegen.

8/10Little bit torn between two sides of the dining experience. Don Pablo provides a nice atmosphere, 'cute' Mexican style interior, and the type of service I like best (we were helped by three separate girls and EACH of them were top notch - friendly, witty, and good). Absolutely no complaints there. But the food is a bit bland. A bit too much Dutch-ified.. Not particularly Mexican. Yes, the standard fare is available - tacos, burritos, fajitas, etc.. But I like to be able to pick up my tacos and burritos in one piece and take a bite - and not have them stick to the plate and crumble. On top of that I missed the kick in spices that makes Mexican food special. I have to note that two people of my party of four thought that all that was served was delicious. I thought it was decent, not special. Despite the ambiance and service I would say Don Pablo is merely just above average because in the end.... ....one goes to a restaurant first and foremost for the food.

9/10We learned the place through AH action. We were welcomed by a warm smile of their friendly staff. The place was cozy and filled with Mexican music (not too loud). Since the menu is in Dutch, she (the staff, i forgot her name, sorry..) helped us understand the menu. While waiting for the food, we were given complimentary bread and spread. We ordered a three course meal (26.50 euro each). For the appetizer- chicken soup, main course- combination don pablo (my husband opted for rice instead of fries), and dessert- ice cream and chocolate mousse. The food portion is very reasonable, tasty and very warm when served. We will definitely return to this place even without the promo.
