Excellent small bistro that has a great vibe, the food is exquisite and the service is polished. We throughly enjoyed our evening and would certainly recommend that you try this bistro when you are in Rome. The menu has something for everyone and we felt it gave us the true feeling of dining in Italy. We plan on a return visit before we leave Rome we felt it was that good.

We had one of the best pastas ever, the ambience of the place was cozy and welcoming and the staff were friendly and kind.

Delicious food.

This restaurant is easy to find. The owner and staff were very friendly and patient, even sharing some interesting stories about his experiences in China. The food was delicious, and the two glasses of wine recommended by the owner were excellent.

A five-minute walk from Cipro station, next to Ottaviano station on the Vatican's closest metro line A. A very convenient location along the main boulevard. The exotic interior is beautiful, and the hall staff are kind and helpful, offering good advice. This time, I ordered meatballs and Ravioli ripieni alla carbonara al profumo di tartufo. The portions were generous, the seasoning spot on, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The presentation was lovely, adding to the satisfaction. Thanks to a promotion, the price was excellent (50% off), costing just €26 for two people. There's a Michelin-starred restaurant right next door which we also visited, but this place offered tastier food and a more pleasant experience. I'd definitely return when next in Rome.

Good food at a good price. Happy location and good company.

We ordered three different dishes and all of them were too salty. Also, the quality of the food wasn’t that good… However, people working there were really nice.

Excellent vegetarian-friendly find near Cipro! We had a wonderful experience at DOP Bistrot. The location is super convenient, right next to the Cipro metro. We used our Yums for a €50 discount, which made the evening even better. The highlight was definitely the pasta—as a vegetarian, I highly recommend the Cacio e Pepe with a touch of lime. It was a refreshing and creative twist on a classic! Great atmosphere and friendly service. We will be back.

It was our second visit to this restaurant. A very cosy place with excellent food. We had the vegetable mix, which was a big portion and then 2 primi. Both excellent pastas. I will definetly return when in Rome.

A very popular spot on via Cipro. Very interesting menu with original dishes and very local. Flavours well balanced and pleasant. Definitely a place to keep going back to.

Nice cozy place tucked into very busy street, but once you are inside it is quite and polished. Attentive service and very good pasta dishes

After a morning exploring Vatican City, we were looking for a nearby place to relax and enjoy a good lunch and this restaurant was a fantastic find. Just a short walk from the Vatican, it offered everything we hoped for: quality food, great service, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The ambience really stood out. The setting was cozy yet lively, with a tasteful rustic design, soft lighting, and a comfortable buzz that made the space feel both intimate and energetic. It’s the kind of place where you can settle in, enjoy a slow meal, and take a break from the crowds without feeling rushed. We began with the burrata, which was incredibly fresh and creamy. For the main course, we shared two dishes: the pasta with pesto and the lasagna. To accompany the meal, we had two glasses of Pinot Grigio. All in all, it was a delightful experience. From the atmosphere to the food and service, everything hit the right note.

If my first experience reviewed one month ago was a solid 10/10 on the food today’s was a 1/10. The food had absolutely no flavour, it was bland and probably not fresh or the ingredients of poor quality. The chicken was dry and without texture. The only taste was of a liquid with curry powder. The rice was moist but cold and with no flavour. The potatoes were wet and soggy with water residue that gave impression that they were reheated but then were just warm. The white bread (not the toasted croutons) was partly dry and stale. I was in and out within 30min as it was a total unpleasant experience food wise. The restaurant was empty except for two customers outside that eventually filled the restaurant with smoke from their cigarettes as it came in from an opened window. The staff seemed to be nice people but were totally out of their wits as had no concept of what was meant to be happening within a catering establishment that for some reason is a ‘9’! Not worth risking it again.

The restaurant was nice and cozy, but the it took too long to take our orders. The food arrived fast but it was cold. The portions were not big enough.

The service and food were impeccable. The ambiance can be improved but giving the location in the outskirts of the city centre it did not bother me. The place is run very professionally and the kitchen must be very well managed as the food flavour and balance were spot on.

This place was really good. Pleasant ambiance with gentle jazz music. Really friendly and attentive service. Food was great! Family of four (including 2 teenagers really enjoyed it) for evening meal. We chose it due to the proximity to our accommodation & fork discount. Locals also enjoying the bistro. Only thing to note is that it is called Nice Life Bistro Cafe (not DOP) on main signage. We would go again.
