Charming host and service, convivial ambiance. I love that the lighting and sound levels are warm but not chaotic. Wines are lovely, food excellent. One of my favorites in Aix, another delightful evening maintaining my reputation with my friends!

From the appetizers to dessert the food was delicious and the service was excellent. There is also a nice wine menu with detailed descriptions of each wine to help you make your choice. The prices and portions were correct. I would highly recommend this restaurant to friends.

Not a great location in a somewhat decrepit small cul-de - sac street, menu was a little limited, we had as main dish a lamb tagine which was too dry.. considering the number of other restaurants in the center of Aix, this one ranks definitely toward the bottom.

Our restaurant has been located in this small cul-de-sac for over 15 years, and while it may feel off the main paths, this setting is very much part of its history, character, and originality—something many of our guests appreciate for its quieter, more intimate atmosphere. Our menu may indeed appear limited, with four starters, four mains, and four desserts, but this is a deliberate choice. We cook everything fresh every day, based on market availability and the capacity of our kitchen, in order to ensure quality and consistency rather than volume. You know a restaurant stands out when you read a review that says “ I came with my mom and she thought it was a little sketchy to walk down the alley to the restaurant.” However,, we could have not been more pleased with the dinner we had here. As soon as we walked in, the ambience grabbed us. The owner came forward, welcomed us, and we proceeded to have an unforgettable meal. We had a question about ordering a cocktail, and the bartender was right there to answer questions and help us out. His advice was spot on. And the food… obviously they started cooking our pork long before we stepped through the door. This is a gem in the culinary world. We have been eating our way across southern France and this is easily one of our top five meals. You know you want to be able to say that and that’s why you should book a table here. You will be glad you did!

As English speakers, our waiter went out of his way to make sure we understood the menu. The food was delicious. We sat outside on a quiet street, and the inside looked very cool.

The lively and fun decor set the tone. Fabulous, friendly service. Menu is short but very thoughtfully created. Food was EXTREMELY good, especially the lamb. A little tricky to find but definitely enjoy a meal at this wonderful restaurant!

This restaurant is down a small alley that is easy to miss, but finding the restaurant is definitely worth it. The service was very friendly and every dish that we ordered was superb. I am happy to recommend this restaurant without reservation.

We just enjoyed a terrific vegetable-forward and cool, fresh dinner on this first day of summer. The gazpacho was excellent, my salmon dish was so pleasing, and my husband’s vegetarian dishes were the best he’s had. Thank you for great food and making our last day in Provence memorable!

The. Service and food were exquisite. The ambience was interesting and eclectic. The sweetest/savory crème brûlée was delicious. My husband said the lamb was the best he had had in many years! The chocolate dessert was scrumptious !

Where do I begin? What an absolute treat it was to be able to eat here during our stay in Aix. Hidden within an unassuming alleyway, you'll find a beautifully decorated, cosy and comfortable restaurant with passionate and charming staff, who clearly care about their customers and food. I believe we were served by the manager, whom I spoke with briefly in French, however English speakers were certainly still welcomed to have the menu explained. We both chose that day's "Assiette Vegetarienne", and a small pitcher of white wine to share. The value for the meal we were served was unbelievably good. A gorgeous platter of individually delicious portions of different vegetarian food, a gallette, a small potage, couscous, hummus, roasted vegetables, salad, everything cooked to perfection, and clearly lovingly put together for the flavours to blend well. I could be called speechless after the meal, but that might just be my lack of knowledge of French superlatives. Incredible experience!

Such a unique and creative menu! We normally share a starter and dessert, but all of the choices were so tempting that both of us had 3 courses, and every bite was marvelous. My starter of a crab and beet tiramisu was amazing.

This is a wonderful surprise … not fancy yet the food is sooo good and the staff are amazingly friendly and welcoming Menu is so unique but the staff is more than happy to explain the different ingredients and the dishes are soooo tasty Had a great relaxed and delicious meal … thank you all

The food descriptions sounded delicious but the execution was lacking. The food wasn’t very good. I was disappointed. The restaurant came highly recommended and it didn’t live up to the hype.

This was really my type of restaurant. Serious food with an unpretentious atmosphere. The whole staff was extremely accommodating and attentive, and everything we had tasted excellent. The price also can't be beat, being significantly less than restaurants with similar fare. Highly recommended!
