9/10Lovely location along the canal. The back garden area felt private and calm on a very hot Saturday night. Food was nicely prepared, service was good.

7.5/10Food was good but number of fruit flies / mosquitos was so annoying. We spent entire meal swatting away the bugs so they wouldn’t land on our plates or in our wine glasses.

5.5/10Set up was really tight and had to ask the staff to move other tables and chairs so we could sit around our table of 5 that we reserved in advance. The food was disappointing with flavourless fried risotto, hardly any cheese on it and over thinned dry veal. The waiter took the empty plates away while others in the party were still eating, and someone even had their plate picked up while still chewing their last bite. Toilet was simply disgusting with paper all over the floor and a filthy cubicle. Needless to say we left swiftly.

7/10Nice location on canal but at the back of the building so no view. Our starter (Zucchini Flan) was very nice as was our dessert (Tiramisu). However one of the Primi plates we ordered (potato gnocchi) was bland. The other Primi (tagliatelle with asparagus) was quite good but both the main dishes (sea bream and lamb) were both very bland and disappointing.

8.5/10Food was good not spectacular. Good wine list, and generous pour by the glass. Tournedos Rossini could have been more generous with the foie gras. Osso buco and Risotto were correct. Desserts ok. Expensive for what it was.

5/10The restaurant vibe was beautiful and within minutes of it opening it became full. The good things end there. The wait staff seemed most concerned with getting us out of the restaurants as soon as possible. They offered passive aggressive and mean responses to questions about the menu. When we asked for a recommendation between 2 options, the waiter scoffed and said “everything.” When we asked about a wine, the waiter again said “everything.” There was zero desire to help or provide any suggestion. The food was also sub par. We left half the food because it was over cooked or not flavorful.

9/10Best osso buco I have had in a long time. Soft and tender meat and great risotto. Enjoyed the chianti as well. Service was adequate but didn't overwhelm. Lovely place to eat.

6.5/10Food was okay. But not up to expectations. Classic dishes very good. However I ordered beef sirloin in truffle butter and it had no butter at all nor truffles anyway. Also it was served with a grilled lettuce or something really bitter. Impossible to swallow. Disgusting.

10/10El Brelin is always one of the best choice in Milan to have a great tasting and immersive memorabile experience. Cuisine is a perfect example of qualitative tradition Environment is a cool stargate to the real iconic old Milan. A must for a romance or stylish rendez vous with that touch of history and aestethics.

9/10Starters were very good, as well as my husband’s main course. I wasn’t particularly happy with my main but I knew that fish is not the local dish so can’t complain. I wasn’t impressed with the tiramisu. Overall it was good. Location is a massive plus, staff was nice, in particular the wine waiter - sorry I don’t remember the name.

5/10I ordered the steak and instead the cotelette came. Honest mistake of course. While I was waiting for my original order my friend finished her plate. When the steak came it was super dry and even partially burnt (I assume bc the waiter never asked how I would like it cooked). The manager asked if I wanted something else and I ordered the Salmon this time but quickly canceled because I saw a bit of an attitude my server had (although one person who seemed like the manager was very kind). I was a bit uncomfortable at that point that especially bc I would be sitting there eating alone and would probably close down the restaurant during the lunch time. My friend’s Ossobuco was good at least. I wish I ordered the same.

6/10The restaurant had no idea that I booked via the Fork, so the promised 20 percent discount never showedup on the Bill. The waiters were very nice but too few, so wait time for everything was much too long — for drinks, for food, for paying the bill. Will ever only go again in a very low season -much better places to be found in the high season
