A nice place to try out Milanese food.

Our hotel rec this restaurant as a classic. Around corner from the canal. Does not have any views of water. During warmer weather they may have outdoor seating? We had high hopes. The food is a B+ with some dishes better than others. It seems like this place Was excellent years ago, but past its prime. The decor is very yellow and cozy traditional feel. The wait staff were overly efficient and seemed to be long term employees, but cold. They served us without any real engagement & we felt as if they were long bored with their jobs. Unfortunately, we had a very loud/rude table near us of 8 people (some men in baseball caps) who luckily left 1/2 way through our meal. Two women left shortly after being seated right next to them. That spoiled the vibe. There are better restaurants around this area.
El BrellinMadam, we have 200 seats, just a few from the canal, if not booked at least a week in advance or is very difficult to accommodate you mate a window, only 5 face the Navigli and only 2 tables are for two persons… anyway sorry for the misconvenience, please come back and we will make sure you will have the right table !!

Staff was very welcoming and friendly. The waiter made recommendations and provided quick service when needed. The restaurant is us a wonderful location.

The food was wonderful. We met the owner and he took the time to talk to us and tell us about the history of the building and the are. First time in Milan.

Unfortunately, the overall experience did not meet expectations. While the location and décor are very appealing and create a great first impression, the food was disappointing and the service fell short of what I would expect for the price paid. Given the setting and positioning of the restaurant, I had anticipated a much higher standard.

Excellent food and wine in a charming setting with professional and hospitable service. Prices were slightly elevated compared to all our other meals in Turin and Milan but to be expected for the setting.

Staff were excellent, helpful and allowed me to at least try out my Italian phrase book 😂 Food was great and wine recommendations really helped too.

The service was good and the place is nice, however, the food was a bit bland and very expensive compared to what you got.

Absolutely excellent Milanese food, very good wine and superior service. All this in a warm locale with ceiling beams and a lively canal to stroll by before or after dinner. A perfect way to wrap up our stay in Milan. We’ll be back!

Delicious food but we had a few different waiters some of which were friendly and others were not. We didn't feel very looked after. The lady who took the payment wasn't particularly friendly either. Definitely room for improvement in terms of service.

Did not honour €25 gift card offered by the fork. Lied about how the restaurant billing system was off and that we had to pay at the bar

I had come to this spot for the first time 13 years ago with my dad when I was a study abroad student. At the time, my dad and I loved everything about this place. I recently visited Milan with my girlfriend and had to see if the restaurant was going to be as good as I remember. It was!! I had the lamb shank and risotto, it was delicious. The two waiters taking care of us were great and hilarious. I would 100% recommend this spot to anyone visiting.

the character and atmosphere were perfect for our group of 3 adults. Would not suggest for families with small children. The menu was classic Milenese with some modern touches. Service attentive without being obtrusive.

El Brellin is on a site of an old laundry, and has kept the theme. Everything about the place was excellent, food, drinks and service. Bellisimo!

The location of the restaurant was great. The ambience of the restaurant was great. Food was tasty. And the waiting staffs were great handling all of us (15 people)! Parking was the only issue, but I guess the neighborhood does not offer so much nearby parking options.

The food was excellent, with well-prepared and flavorful dishes. The atmosphere is very pleasant, creating a cozy and comfortable setting to enjoy the meal. A great place for those looking for good food and an inviting space.

This might have been a good restaurant in the past. Not any more. I ordered the most expensive item in the menu, Osso Bucco with risotto Milanese (€32) and was very disappointed to find it had no discernible flavour. Not even a hint of saffron, no bone marrow and no cheese. No seasoning at all. The Ossi Bucco was passable, but I saw much better being served on the canal. It has a good location. Overpriced wines too. Take a pass on El Breslin.
