Staff were professional; friendly, efficient and competent. Food was well very well presented, perfectly prepared and tasted great. We opted to go al a carte and got a about a dozen dishes to share for our family and enjoyed every single one of them. Amongst these, some unique dishes were the Truffled Russian Salad, the Artichoke Flower with fried egg and Squid with Onions. We also loved the Risotto and the Medallions of suckling pig fillet. Desserts were also very nicely done; we particularly enjoyed the Tiramisu and the Malvasia liquer from Sitges. The decor felt traditional, and reminiscent of a wine cellar with exposed stone walls and rustic artworks but all felt clean, modern and smart. The restaurant is small so may be tricky of parties larger than 4 but the atmosphere was great and made for great photos.

It was quiet, nice low lighting. It’s a small restaurant and the staff of two were able to give attention to each table. I ordered the cod, which was ok(not worth the price). My husband ordered the smoked steak and loved it. Overall, a nice little restaurant (not in a castle but in an alley). But, very overpriced.

Ordered fixed price dinner 4 2..The first three courses of grilled octopus,seafood salad and fish good. The lobster with rice was an inedible mess of overcooked lobster, mealy and not fresh, a very fishy tasting soupy sauce with other overcooked seafood , totally inedible. When we told the server, she seemed hesitant to take it back but we insisted she replace it with other mains. my wife had a decent shrimp dish and i had an uncooked tuna dish,both much improved to the returned dish.We then had a decent chocolate mousse dessert. We assume that the new main dishes were served as replacements, but bill included the full price for the set meal, 78 euros plus a charge for both the replacement mains. After we complained , the manager took off the set price meal charge but charged us a much higher price for,the three items which we ate as our first course for the set for 105 euros instead of 85 euros, total rip off given the inedible main with no apologies. Total ripoff.Do not eat here

Food was very nice but all the dishes were a bit too salty - the table of four coincided on this, and we thought it was “funny” since we all love salt. Service was very friendly but a tad slow and not very attentive. The aisle is narrow, and we thought it would be easy to call the server’s attention, but we always had to flag someone down, waving arms or even getting up. Despite all this, we thought the quality of the product was very good and the staff genuinely friendly, so we would still recommend it without a doubt.

Portion Tuna Tataki was far too tiny compared to the prize. The other portion of beef tataki was much bigger. Both were maincourse and so the tuna tataki was disappointing.

Excellent food, pared with great ambiance should be a winning combination. The service was sometimes a little lacking. For instance, when we ordered drinks, my dining partners drinks was delivered a full 5 minutes after mine, and it was only a glass of wine. This was due to the host being super busy doing 100 things at once, including clearing and setting a table plus delivering a check to another table in the middle of our drinks order. Go in relaxed, ready for great food and atmosphere while not expecting super attentive service and you will not be disappointed.

Me and my boyfriend went for a lovely date, a small intimate restaurant with a lovely calm atmosphere. The service was immaculate and they were very helpful with their suggestions. We had the Burrata and tomato bread to start followed by the veggie gyoza, following we had the tenderloin and the medallions and for desert we had the chocolate mousse and sherry to wash it all down. Everything was super fresh and tasted incredible. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Sitges to try this place. Would recommend booking in advance as the place is small and intimate. 10/10 would visit again

Last 7 years we have been visiting El Castell and it remains the highlight of the Sitgeses cousine. The only thing that I personally would like to be changed is to have minimum one protein rich lacto-vegetarian dish.

We visited El Castell during our trip to Sitges with our kids and grandkids. The waiters were very hospitable and accommodating. The food was superb — excellent in quality and innovatively presented. The atmosphere was very cozy. We enjoyed our dinner very much and plan to return whenever we visit Sitges

Each night, one waiter of two and one chef of two are working. The waiters are of equal quality, but a difference twixt the quality of the chef’s output is significant in our experience. Overall, a must visit quality establishment in Sitges.
