10/10Had lunch for the second time this week at El Castell! What a lovely small atmospheric place - great staff and food. First time we had menu del día - both had tasty beautifully presented carpaccio followed by gambas and confit duck legs - choc cake to end. Went with family today and ate from the main menu - various dishes - red prawn carpaccio; fillet steak; beef cheeks and pork loin - all so tasty 😋. Will go again before we leave!

10/10Inspired and elevated spanish fare with high quality ingredients that spoke for themselves. The octopus was fresh and perfectly cooked; the truffled scrambled eggs with asparagus a revelation considering the humbleness of the ingredients -truffle aside ;-) There's not better compliment I can provide this place than it was the best 'pa amb tomàquet' I had in my LIFE. Beautifully crusty bread, perfectly grilled with fire-charred edges, most intense and fresh tomato scent, subtle kick of garlic and lick your fingers good cold press olive oil. To end the meal, the lemon sorbetto with pickled cucumbers and mint water sounded odd...yet it reawoke our taste buds and brought the rare feel of excitement, instead of the 'nap time' closure more commonly experienced at the end of a satisfying meal. Overall great food, kind and thoughtful service. Would highly recommend for intimate dinner or break from the bright summer sun, as it's a moody and polished spot.

7/10The restaurant is cosy. Maybe more appropriate for a romantic dinner or lunch because it is somewhat intimate. The food is tasty but the portions are rather small for the price. Service was excellent and the 2 waitresses were dynamic and professional.

6/10The waitress was adorable. Me and my family loved her. She was great. I have to emphasize that. Unfortunately we didn’t like the food very much. We’ve been to many places based on ‘thefork’ suggestions/ratings. This restaurant is presenting food in a ‘wow!’ Factor. But we didn’t like it at all. Sorry. Tuna something dish looked like a whole lotta lettuce with cocktail sauce and tuna smelling like…sorry, rotten. The waitress told us it was a typical Catalan dish. Hmm. Either then, you get 3 pieces of ‘smelling tuna’ with a kilo of lettuce. In my opinion, just a very bad dish. After that I had the ‘Medaillons’. Pieces of porc with a mushroom sauce and…small fries?? Like fries you buy in a supermarket for less than one Euro. Weird to use this and shove it under some pieces of pork with a bit of mushroom kind of sauce? Sorry, I don’t buy that. Overall, the food looks so nice when served, but the taste was very disappointing to us. Then again, it’s only our opinion.

10/10+1The food was fantastic, every dish beautifully prepared and presented with incredible flavours. Clearly nothing frozen or tinned here! Inside it’s stylish and cosy and the staff are wonderful. An absolute top exoerience will return very soon.

10/10We had the best experience here. We read earlier reviews that were mixed but the service far exceeded our expectations and the food was outstanding! Jayra was our server (rhymes with Sara in English ). She was friendly, prompt and accommodating. Everything was really a wonderful experience! We will definitely be back.

9/10This was our third visit to El Castell. Please come for the food. The Xato (shared) was incredible followed by the cod and the Cochilnillo were both great. Don’t miss the Jack Daniel’s cake. In terms of service, it is not a Michelin star, but good. So keep that in mind in advance.

8/10A truly enjoyable evening. Highly recommended for a romantic dinner. We have been several times and we would suggest sitting inside the restaurant rather than on the terrace. Outside has its ‘encanto’ though inside is much more comfortable.

9/10Our server was amazing. Informative. Able to speak both Spanish and English. Prices per dish were a little higher than average for similar restaurants in Sitges. And the portions were average to small. My cod was delicious in a savory tomato base but could have had more vegtables to fill me up and my sliced steak appetizer could have used a better cut of beef as I had gristle running through most of it. My partner’s burrata salad was much larger and tasty and his pork entree was plenty but came warm from the kitchen and not hot like you’d expect. We passed on dessert. With dinner tip and one glass of wine it was 92 euro.

9/10This restaurant has a restricted menu which allows them to perfect the quality of the dishes. Maybe the food was a little exaggerated in the website but we were happy to return a second night, same table, to experience other choices. Possibly the tuna, cod and salmon dishes excelled...
