I microwaved nachos for the second time. It all took a very long time. The tacos were filled with very dry pulled chicken. I ordered a spicy margarita. It didn't come with olives or jalapenos, but it did have a very thick layer of salt on the rim. The second margarita was the same, but the server put the glass down so hard that the contents flew over the rim, spilling a lot of salt into the drink. AND DESPITE THE SMOKING BAN ON THE PATIO, NOTHING WAS MENTIONED. We won't be back.

On arrival we were ignored by three staff members until a group of young woman also arrived. Did not feel at all welcomed by any staff member that we encountered. We ordered drinks and received them. After 10 or so minutes we finally had our food order taken. We ordered two starters and two mains. Our mains arrived first and half way through one starter arrived. When we asked where our other one was a plate of nachos were put on the table as a staff member walked past. No interaction by the staff when they left the bill or came back to take payment. We had heard so many positive reviews from family and friends but I am afraid that was the only positive we had. Food we did get was bland.

We ordered nachos norteños, but they were microwaved. Soft and not good. After that, my main course was spicy chicken tacos. The pulled chicken was dry and not spicy at all. Absolutely not good. The service was friendly, but maybe because it was Monday.

This was our first visit to El Charro Negro and it didn’t disappoint. The food was excellent, service very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent value for money. The atmosphere was very pleasant and very authentic. We will definitely return.

A wonderful place with delicious food and a nice atmosphere created by the staff. We ate there several days in a row with the whole family. We liked the chilli con carne and chimichangas the most. We will definitely come back on our next vacation.
