+1We chose El Gran Barril to celebrate New Year’s Eve, expecting a refined and memorable experience. While the food itself was very good, fresh seafood and well-executed dishes, the service seriously undermined the evening. From the start, the service felt rushed, with little regard for allowing guests to enjoy a special night. As the dinner progressed, the attitude of the staff became increasingly abrupt and, by the end, openly rude. This is particularly unacceptable on New Year’s Eve, when diners rightly expect a welcoming, respectful, and festive atmosphere. A restaurant of this standing should understand that on such an important evening, service matters just as much as food. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism and warmth meant that this was not the experience we hoped for on one of the most significant nights of the year. In summary: very good food, but disappointing and disrespectful service that left a lasting negative impression.. I wouldn’t go back nor recommend it.

Fantastic, well-established seafood restaurant. Don't eat too much of the appetisers or salad or else you won't be able to do justice to the wonderful mains. Service is quick and they anticipate what you need. Definitely will return to try their other dishes.

The great quality of the food, I had oysters, superb!! and a whole grilled sole which is rare to see, it of an exceptional freshness, Even the olives that were brought with my wine were so delicious, not like anything I had before, there was no vinegar but they were mixed with olive oil and a few finely cut vegetables, I will return

The place and food are very nice. We asked for recommendations and the waiters didnt explain much. They charge us the entraince without requesting it that was inappropiate.

When we arraived to the restaurant , they didn´t wanted to attend us even though their system showed there was a reservation, the restaurant was partly closed and the service was very bad

The restaurant has a nice covered terrace in the front. Food is good, service is sufficiently quick, but English is not easy.

Our second time back, came for the first time a week ago and fell in love so came back again tonight. The Albariño is delicious as were the scallops starter. Highly enjoyed the tomato and anchovies as well. The mariscos paella is a must have and so is the tiramisu. Okay so basically it’s all amazing!

Very disappointing. High food cost with poor quality. Ordered sangria and was mostly sprite, sent it back but still charged. For dinner order seafood paella, pretty much all rice. Seemed like a tourist place that you wouldn’t want to repeat

Upon recommendation of friends my partner and I enjoyed some of the best seafood here on passage to Madrid. Excellent, and surprisingly quiet location in Madrid's centre.

Was recommended this place by my neighbour and we were not disappointed. Their seafood is marvelous, plenty of good wines to choose from and the ambience if you keep on walking deeper into the restaurant is very cozy and slightly quieter. Friendly and attentive staff. We will return for sure!

On a Sunday night, dinner open for 2030 , however, they are open for drinks and tapas since evening. I will say food is good. They have English menu but no English speaking staff, which means you find a plaCe where local goes.
