10/10Really friendly people, creative ambience, good quality of food. And I liked the fact that they asked whether I wanted bread and then.. they did not charge for it! (some places do not ask and then they charge you 7-8 euros)

10/10Loved the ambiance - such a lovely setting above a cool bookstore, beautifully decorated and very relaxing. The food was great, especially the "huevos rotos" with sweet potato, Parmesan and truffle; and the Banoffee pie! Will definitely return, if I come back to Madrid!

2.5/10We went for Sunday brunch after reading good reviews in the past. We expected the place to be busy but there was only one other table eating when we arrived at 11.45 Perhaps due to the lack of customers, the service was incredibly slow and nobody came in to check on us. The food was disappointing and mediocre. There was a lot of dry bread that appeared stale. For the price we paid, it was extremely disappointing. The room and environment are lovely but that's where it begins and ends. If you're thinking of going there for brunch, don't bother. There are far nicer and cheaper options elsewhere.

10/10Everything was perfect. We had a tuna tartar, mussels, artichokes, and cuttlefish for dinner. The food was delicious, the best tuna tartar I've ever eaten. One of the dishes wasn't perfect, we asked to replace it, and they did it apologizing without any problem. The service was great! Definitely 10/10

10/10El Impartial never disappoints. The space is beautiful and we always have delicious food and wonderful service. My husband and I visit regularly and have also brought friends and visitors to Madrid. People are always impressed.

7.5/10The owner of my Airbnb recommended this place when I asked about an affordable, romantic restaurant. The affordability is a little debatable, given the casual nature of the interior, but there's no denying that the food was very tasty indeed. Our server was clearly inexperienced, but it didn't really mar the evening.

7.5/10Michelin star food! Service slow at times. They should ask for food allergies or mention it in the menu but I guess this is usual in Spain (a little behind). The worst part was that the MANAGER of the restaurant was in one of the corner sofas with her dog sitting ON THE SOFA in front of us. After 15 mins I was completely congested. Who allows a dog to sit on a restaurant sofa? Disgusting :( Needless to say I'm allergic to dog's hair but again, this is Spain and dogs take precedent over humans anywhere).

10/10Had the 22€ brunch - we had to ask to take away part of the main course because the portions were so big! The menu offers great variety of food (bread with butter and marmalades, a table of cheese and jamon with granola yogurt, orange juice and coffee, and a main course to choose between 4 options (burger, pastrami sandwich, eggs benedict and another one I can’t remember). The food was of great quality, the service fast and welcoming. The athmosphere is great, curated interiors and a lot of light. Very recommended!

10/10Every time I come to Madrid El Impartial is a must. The food, service and decor are all outstanding. Every once in a while they will run out of a menu item, and they are located up stairs. But that’s really the worst I can say about this incredible restaurant.

5.5/10Expected much more, New years eve made reservation months ahead and were placed at a table next to the door. Table was fixed on the wall so the chair could not move and you had to climb in. Started with drinks, 5 minutes later starter on the table, 5 minutes later they came with the main course... Had to send them back. Food was ok except risotto way too much pepper and carrot cake was not good. We’re not going back sorry ...

10/10From the bookstore on the first level to the unique art installation in the stairway leading to the main dining level with historic charm and modern fixtures, the ambiance is uniquely charming and lets anyone fit right in. This was some if the best risotto I ever had. The staff was accommodating. We had a lovely time

10/10The decor and ambience was different from the usual and so very memorable. The service was excellent and the food was really really good. Each and every dish ordered was outatanding for both taste and presentation.... We will go back for sure ????
