10/10A memorable trip into local history of cooking. Everything is tasty and loaded with history. Wine is also well picked and delicious. A must to do in Madrid.

10/10We had a great lunch at El Tormo. We had the tasting menu of 9 or so courses. (We spent about 2 and a half hours there, so leave time to enjoy it.) Most courses were traditional Spanish dishes, and all were delicious. Clara, the host and owner (who speaks English very well) explained the history and preparation of each dish. She was delightful and welcoming. It was our favorite and most memorable meal of our two week visit to France and Spain. El Tormo is a few blocks away from the restaurant areas in La Latina. But it is well worth walking a few blocks to have a meal here.

10/10The food was excellent but what made the difference was the explanations of each dish, its origins and age. Plus the owner was charming and she was happy to explain in both English and Spanish. It’s a simple fish, but the best pisto I’ve ever had and the confit chorizos were so flavorful and tender.

10/10Outstanding tasting menu! Each dish is a unique and authentic recipe from the La Mancha region. The owner/hostess explains each course in loving detail. A wonderful Madrid experience!

10/10We had the tasting menu with various glasses of wine. Our hostess was welcoming, engaging and passionate about food. The food and wine were delicious and of high quality. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to try traditional food from La Mancha

10/10+6El Tormo is a must go to and should be on the top of your food list when in Madrid! This place should have 3-stars on Michelin restaurants guide. It was an experience from the minute me and my fiancée arrived. It is a 7 course + 2 dessert tasting where each dish comes with a story that gives you history and lets you understand the thought and process behind each. The Chef is a rockstar and I literally mean that. You hear this awesome Spanish guy just jamming out to some good American 70s Rock & Roll as he is cooking your meal. I was blessed to have met him after and chat with him and one of the owners. They are such great people. They really make you feel like family, just eating good food, drinking good wine and having some good laughs.

10/10An absulotely must if you are in Madrid. The food, the atmosphere, the service and the wine is extraordinary. I can recommend to everybody to go there for the experience of typical Spanish food - fantastic!

10/10This restaurant provided a culturally and gastronomically rich dining experience. Clara, the owner and server, explained the ingredients in each of the eight courses in both English and Spanish. The food was exceptional, and we would love to return when we are next in Madrid.

10/10A remarkable journey learning about and delighting in a Spanish feast. The food was carefully prepared, beautifully presented and the various dishes had their origins explained. Authentic, Delicious, and Fun. I felt like I had a better appreciation of Spain during the dinner than through 3 days of touring! The owner is a generous, warm, and talkative (in a great way) and made us feel like family. Can't recommend this enough. A top Madrid experience!

10/10Absolutely fantastic lunch at El Tormo during our visit to Madrid. All dishes were from La Mancha region, beautifully explained and all were delicious. Every dish was something different from what we have had before. Wines and Sherry were all excellent. Clara was a wonderful host. Would highly recommend. This has been one of the best highlights of our holiday. Thanks again Clara and Davide! X

9/10The owners are super people. They are totally invested in the quality of their food and service. Each dish of the fixed menu was explained to us. Every item on the menu (except chorizo ) was unique to us. Great vino! The desserts and liqueurs were also delicious. Highly recommend to anyone who is looking for good food that you won’t find in any other resturant

10/10Wow, just wow, all around. Excellent, abundant food. The family staff couldn't be nicer or more accommodating. They explain all the dishes including the cuisine's background and answer all your questions. Don't think I've ever given a 10 to a restaurant, but this one deserves it. I'll be back, over and over.

9.5/10A unique experience in Madrid. Very informal setting. By the end, you'll feel you had acquired a new aunt or grandma (who goes to much trouble to make you feel loved and well-fed). The many courses on the menu represent local cuisines of la Mancha: this is the people's food, not haute cuisine, but no less worthy. It may be a bit challenging if you don't speak Spanish, but you'll still appreciate the food -- and the value it represents!

10/10Very hospitable hosts and delicious authentic cuisine from La Mancha. It was more food than we could eat and the price was so reasonable, especially since they honored the 30% discount listed on Trip Advisor. I would recommend this to friends who want a different kind of dining experience.

10/10Really nice experience! It is a must if you want to taste the traditional food from Castilla la Mancha and get to know what Don Quixote ate! Very friendly service but bring the Spanish-English dictionary! Thank you for so delicious meal Milagros and Enrique!

10/10Warm inviting couple. We spoke no Spanish and they spoke very little English but the language of food was easily translated. Would go back when back in Madrid..lovely food

10/10Great place, lovely people, unique experience. For tourists I should say that I very much doubt Milagros and Enrique speak English, but I'm certain they'll manage to communicate with you! the friends I went with were thinking about going back for lunch. We all loved it.

8.5/10We had a great meal together with friends. We ate a lot of different things we have never tried before and they were all very good. The welcoming en service is excellent. They made us feel at home and took the time to explain everything about the food and the restaurant. That made it a great experience! One point we didn't like was that you can only pay in cash.
