9/10The service and staff was nothing short of excellent. The reception and attention left a really nice experience. The food in general was good. The only catch was the clams which had a bad taste, but when we made the staff aware, the dish was removed, the plates and cutlery was changed, and they didn’t charge the dish. All in all, I really recommend visiting this pearl. Remember to visit around sunset to get both the day and night view of Barcelona.

7/10The view from El Xalto takes one’s breath away, but the service was condescending and the food unimaginative at best. We were probably underdressed, and striving to focus on plant-friendly choices from the menu. The steamed vegetables with seaweed mayonnaise was undoubtedly the least interesting vegetarian dish we ate during a month-long trip. The welcome staff upstairs and the woman who served our coffees were friendly and warm, but the primary wait staff made clear we didn’t merit their service. We ate in other high-end restaurants on this trip and had no other similarly negative experiences.

5/104 out of 6 of us ordered steak. All steaks were way under cooked from the temperature that was ordered. I sent mine back and it came back still about 2 temperatures undercooked.

3/10This is a totally tourist trap. The food was terrible, overpriced and small portions - except the paella, which was barely edible. The service was rude. They never smiled and seemed appalled with the slightest question or request. It was also practically empty - and depressing. They even charge for bread. The view is totally not worth the rest of the horrible.

10/10Our food was so delicious, it was our first meal in Barcelona and boy did we pick the fanciest place in town ( in our opinion). I ate the prawn and monkfish cannoli and the flavours were really really good, I definitely had room to share my daughter’s traditional paella, which was definitely amazing. We thoroughly enjoyed relaxing and being surrounded by a fabulous ambiance and the night time views were incredible of the city we were yet to explore.

2/10We made this reservations for a special anniversary dinner well in advance, making sure to note that this was a special occasion: confirming twice and asking for a special table. Upon arrival we were asked to step aside and wait to be seated as they lead a very large group into the main restaurant. Then we, along with several other couples, were shown to a back patio behind the kitchen inside a very smelly porch area, which had plastic tarps enclosing the area. As it was raining out, you couldn’t see anything through the plastic, and we were essentially sat inside an ugly tent. An unsmiling and unfriendly waiter proceeded to take away place settings and then handed us menus. We took one look at the overpriced offerings, and finding the smell of mould and rancid wine unpleasant in this garden shed setting, we immediately left. It was a very disappointing annniversary, but once we returned home we saw online that we had escaped what is apparently a tourist trap.

The evening views are incredible, met with the amazing customer service. An intimate venue which made our barcelona trip so special. We were looking for a "special" meal whilst here and it delivered!

The scenery was amazing, and the quality of the Iberian ham and lobster paella was exceptional. I would definitely consider visiting again for dinner in Barcelona.

7.5/10A bit surprising that they haven’t received our reservation, but they really managed it fine and we got at nice table with a nice view. The place might be a bit hyped because of the location, the quality and the price may be a bit out of balance

8/10The service was okay not great. The menu didnt include the desserts or the wine by the glass. The desserts came around in a cart which was nice to see but I would have loved to read about them a bit more. The tune belly salad was amazing, best thing ever! The octopus was okay not great. Some larger pieces quite chewy. The cod tempura bites were very very salty. Okay not great. The wine was very nice and the view was amazing! You come here for the view and ambience. And maybe if we ordered other dishes we would have loved everything we ate. The tune tartar is made at your table and I think it is a crowd pleaser, we wish we would have gotten that OR the beef tartar.
