10/10+1We had such a fantastic meal at Elkaar! The I chose the 5 dish menu, my partner had 6. It was a great balance of fish/meat and veggie based dishes. Every dish was a feast for the eyes with harmonious taste combinations. We can’t wait to go again!

10/10+2the most amazing experience, everything was top level and we enjoyed ever minut. we had a 7 course menu, WOUW. so delicate and beautiful. we will definitely be back when we go to Amsterdam again

10/10Just one word: wonderful! One of the best restaurant ever. Een aanrader in Amsterdam. Top service. It was very nice to dine under the trees next to the water. I recommend also the prosecco.

10/10It was a very nice restaurant nicely decorated and sufficient space. Food was much better than I anticipated with nice presentation as well. Only one person serving the whole restaurant but the services remained very high standard without feeling left alone. The meat and fish were cooked perfectly and delicious! Dessert was a bit too buttery. Overall, a great restaurant to go with friends and for romance too

8/10Way too slow! It was 45 minutes between courses. Loved the food but we were next to a table with 6 really loud men (the restaurant was totally full)(not the restaurant’s fault) and it was torture waiting the very very long time between courses. We finally left before desert as we couldn’t stand it anymore. We really liked the food and the decor and the people were very nice. But it was a bad experience. Would try again in hopes that they could speed it up.

10/10Tuna tartar with mango was great. We had also cod which was wonderfull. And a great surprise was the cheese cake. This was not the classic one but it was more than snoven expectation! Terrific!! What a passion by both owners( chef and wife) congrats!

10/10The entire experience was wonderful and the best dining experience I’ve ever had! Everyone at our table raved about each course; the presentation and taste of each dish was beautifully memorable and delicious. I hope to come back to Amsterdam, and if I do, this will be my first choice for dinner!!

10/10From the moment we entered the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by the hostess. The friendly hostess got our coats and we sat down on a table for three people. We were asked if we wanted to start off with an apéritif, and of course, how can you say no to a glass of cava! The menu was well explained to us (they just received the Bib Gourmand accolade again) and it was clear that they choose to work with season ingredients. The wine menu was varied, with old world and new world wines, and the prices accessible to everyone. They seem to focus on having unique wines that are not your typical day to day wines like the One Man Band we ordered, from South Africa. We all ordered the four-course menu and started off with an amuse bouche on the house. There is a variety of cold and warm starters, from dorade with a jalapeño sauce to pork cheek. For main course, I chose the venison in a clove sauce. Venison has its own very unique character but with the combination of ingredients, it was just perfect for an autumn evening. My partner had the truffle and ricotta tortellini and my mother in law the bavette. All in all, the dishes were beautifully presented, full of colors and very flavorful. It's been a long time since I have finally found a restaurant were value off money and the service is top notch! I'll definitely be back!

9/10The food was amazing! It seemed like one of the servers was new, so there are a few kinks with service that need to be worked out, but the woman who was working was doing a very good job kind of coaching the other guy through everything. We would definitely go back to this restaurant.

10/10Wonderful dining and culinary experience. Was a perfect place to have an evening with good friends and delightful in every way. The guys went for the 5 course chef’s menu and the ladies for the 4 course. The guys enjoyed the flank steak. The cod was cooked to perfection and loved the shrimp croquet that accompanied it. The burrata is super fresh and full of flavor. Something we didn’t expect but were all impressed was that the chef came to our table to explain each course and plate. Truly a culinary experience and one we will return for in the future.

9/10A lovely restaurant off the beaten path offering inventive faire. The service is very attentive without being over familiar. Our first course of White Asparagus soup and burrata, avacado and watermelon salad was delicious. They both complimented the amuse-bouche serviced between courses. Unfortunately we both got a bad piece of flank steak for the main. The flavor was perfect but the meat was chewy. The chef came to our table very apologetic and offered to make something else. We declined however it was a nice gesture. The table behind us, four persons, had the flank steak and it appeared perfect, plus it looked like it cut like butter. Dessert was wonderful and they made fresh mint tea for us. To our surprise and delight, when the bill arrived the chef had removed the charge for the main courses, which was a class act as we had not requested. Overall a great end to our stay in Amsterdam.
