7.5/10The prices are higher than comparable restaurants nearby and they do not have an inexpensive house wine. Tables close together and not much atmosphere. Food was well cooked and tasty. Service was friendly. The specials did not list prices but were priced much higher than regular menu items.

10/10Both the boss and staff were kind. I felt treated because everyone was so sweet. The food was quickly prepared. I tried bolognese and it was delicious. The appetizer with octopus was also soft.

5/10Food and drink were tasty. The service charge listed on the menu was 2 Euro, but our menus had a temporary sticker placed over it that said 20%. On top of that, the waitress asked my husband for a 15% tip, which he gave her. I wouldn’t return to a restaurant that tries to take advantage of tourists because plenty of others were happy to have us.

8/10This place is a bit "out of the way" so use your GPS. They have inside and outside seating but, we chose inside and it was fine. Service was good with being seated or the waiter taking our order. I had a Sicilian salad that was good although mostly lettuce with tomato, onion, anchovies and cucumbers. My partner's first was mostly a veg pasta which he liked and filled him up before he had his second dish of salmon that he thought was bit dry but good. It might have been dry because they tried to bring it out while he was still eating his first dish and so it probably sat some. I had the recommended sea bream fish that was brought out whole although the waiter then deboned and filleted the fish before setting in front of me....I enjoyed it. The place was very busy as was the outside when we walked out with most every table full.

10/10One of the best experiences we have had here in Italy at a restaurant. Our server was absolutely outstanding in every way. So intentional, relational, and went above and beyond to be hospitable. Highly recommend!

9.5/10Visited on the second night of our trip to Rome and was the best meal we had. The Sicilian antipasto was delicious with the focaccia. I had the spaghetti scoglio which I would 100% recommend and was my favourite meal of the whole trip - just super tasty.

10/10This restaurant was a perfect find for our family. Location is great, close to Campo de Fiori but peaceful location around the corner. Food was lovely and service even better. We got excellent food & wine recommendations and tried something new based on the recommendation. Kids were treated nice also!

10/10This was great little restaurant close to our hotel and we loved the outdoors as well as the indoor ambiance. The food and service was great. I had the pistachio salmon and side of grilled vegetables. My husband had the pasta bolognese. Phillip the owner was on hand making sure all we're taken care of.

10/10What a wonderful dinner to end our trip to Sicily and Toscana. Everything from salad to fish to pasta to vegetables to tiramisu was excellent. We hope to return.

10/10We sat inside as outside was full. Waiting staff gave us list of specials with the menus and we both ordered the Sea Bass which they then filleted at the table after it was cooked. Food was fantastic we had some Sicilian white wine to go with the fish and finished off with dessert. Best meal we had in Rome!

3.5/10Disapointed. Entrance was served before getting our wine that we had to claim twice and wait 20mn.. After 30mn we received the bill, we had not eated yet. Then we have been waiting 1h15 for our meal, the kitchen"forgot us". Meal was very salty.

10/10Excellent from beginning to end. The wait staff, bartender, and kitchen staff were all part of a great experience. We got there at 7 before it got busy, but they never lost sight of us. The food and service were exactly what we were hoping the dining in Rome would be!

8.5/10Great bruschetta but wonder if the sea bass dish is really sea bass? For $35.00 it should be. I guess you only get 20 percent discount if you sit inside, so don’t be fooled by that offer. Overall nice restaurant, food is not spectacular, but decent.

9/10Very nice experiance and good quality restaurant. Very good service as well, however, watch for the bill and Fork discount. Even though I clearly presented our Fork reservation upon our arrival, at the end, they brought us the bill without the discount of 20% on our food. They fixed the issue on my request and stuff was generally very polite, but I could not hear any apology for this mistake - and I really want to believe it was a mistake. However, next day looking at the bill, I notice dessert has not been discounted. Did not know dessert is not belonging to “food” section. Therefore, my score to the restaurant cannot be 10 out of 10.

10/10We came to this restaurant three times in our week or so in Rome. We loved this place with the relatively quiet ambience, good selection of pasta and seafood dishes, and an awesome waiter. Thanks for everything Shaon! P.S. Their dessert selection is excellent and especially their dark chocolate cake.

10/10We came to here on the recommendation of a colleague, and it did not disappoint! In a sea of largely indistinguishable pasta/pizza places around Campo Fiore, Elle Effe stands out - the Roman standards are there (the saltimbocca was superb!) but the fresh seafood and Sicilian specialties set it apart from the crowd. Shaved meat antipasti was perfect, and I could have made a meal of just the fried whole fresh anchovies - crisp on the outside, meaty on the inside just as they should be (with no resemblance to the over-salted cured fillets the name conjures up). The Sicilian pasta alla Norma with eggplant and ricotta salat was an excellent alternative to the typical Roman specialties that abound (as good as they are), but the star of the meal was an exquisitely delicate fresh sea bass with roasted vegetables - not on the menu but offered by our host (alas, did not get his name) as a special that day, which he later expertly filleted at the table. Nothing particularly fancy, but rather fresh, simple, authentic and well-prepared. The relaxed and congenial service (by an army of choreographed colleagues) was excellent - and notable when our host told us the beef secondi we originally inquired about was unavailable that evening because what was at the market that day was not up to their standards (always a good sign). All this for what was - certainly by American standards - a shockingly reasonable bill. We’d heartedly recommend Elle Effe for a comfortable and satisfying evening out that’s definitely a cut above its Campo Fiore neighbors.

10/10This is one of my favorite restaurants in Rome. I happened upon it 6 years ago and am so happy that it is still thriving in Nov 2022. Stellar service is provided. Try the caponata which is excellent. The menu is diverse with seafood and meat. Try the Sicilian wine from the slopes of Mt. Etna. This restaurant is special and never fails to impress.

6.5/10When arrived and gave name in the reservation I was told the restaurant was full. Then when I said I was ok also without discount then they found me a table. So no discount applied at the end.Food in the average.

10/10staff makes our dinner time very pleasant, especially Rafael! All dishes are excellent, among what we enjoyed, Mussels are fantastic. We hoped that we went there earlier so we could have come back before we left
