10/10The place was lovely, the decoration was amazing, and the people were so nice. They gave us complimentary drinks, which made our day. The food was delicious, and the portions were quite big. A truly beautiful place that made my birthday even more memorable.

The service was another level, the kids wanted just plain pasta so the waitress brought also fries on the house and then some liquor for the adults and chocolates too, really unexpected, the food was great too, even though slightly expensive, but normal for the area

5.5/10lovely waitress, understood nut allergy requirements, but then wrong food delivered which didn't inspire confidence. mushroom risotto was slimey, sea bass overcooked with wierd bitter greens. cod cake was tasty but a bit greasy. vegetarian pasta was a hit. summary: nice staff but food not great.

10/10We were greeted in a very friendly manner and although we had to wait for our table for a little bit, they seated us on comfy chairs and offered a drink while we waited. We ordered the tomato tartare and beef tartare for starters and entrecote and chicken supremes for main dishes. The plates were very big and filling, so unfortunately didn't have the stomach to try their desserts, which did sound delicious. The starter dishes were stellar, my boyfriend even said the beef tartare was the best he has ever had. We enjoyed our main courses very much as well. Our last night in Lisbon was definitely a night to remember, and it was a wise choice to choose this restaurant to spend it in.

We had a wonderful evening here - the food was amazing and Alexandre, the manager, made us feel very special. There was a lovely feel about the place - all the waiting staff were so kind and attentive to everyone. It s a very special place and we would thoroughly recommend it.

9.5/10The food was excellent, and service was thoughtful. The ambience was decent inside. I was originally hoping to sit outside, but the greeter told me my reservation was for inside the restaurant only. I don't recall being able to select an option for indoor/outdoor location, which is my only sticking point given that comment.

10/10Not even sure where to start!!! We met 3 ladies from Dallas, TX on an excursion from Porto. They raved about Em Alta na Baixa and said they went 2 nights in a row. We made reservations when we arrived in Lisbon. OMG! It was AMAZING! Alex took great care of us and made the most fantastic wine & food recommendations. I had this pumpkin/coconut shrimp dish that was the envy of everyone at the table. I've recommended this restaurant to several other people during my time in Lisbon. If we ever return, we will definitely be going back!

9/10Service was first rate. We booked for inside but they kindly arranged for us to sit outside. The menu is broad and the servings were an average portion size. The food was flavoursome but occasionally the dish did not quite pull it off. For example, the very thinly sliced cod carpaccio was overpowered by the rocket salad. Overall, though, a very enjoyable and reasonably priced experience.

This spot is a MUST VISIT. We dined in the upstairs area which was very romantic and private. They were extremely friendly and could easily accommodate my gluten allergy. The food was fresh and delicious and very reasonably priced. Shout out to the manager for being so welcoming and going out of his way to make it an unforgettable experience for my fiancé and I!

This is our 17th trip to Europe, Italy, Germany, Greece, Switzerland and now Portugal. This place rivals any place we've been to over the years of travelling. The food was top notch and the service was exceptional. Alex and his staff w made our experience there enjoyable and memorable. Great job to Perisha our waitress, she was perfect. We'll be back...and thanks for a great dinner our first night in Lisbon.

We had a wonderful evening at your restaurant. Our waiter on the first floor was exelent, profectionel, and with a high level of service. Our dinner was very good, creative, and tastefully served. The dessert was the iceing of the cake, and we are very satisfied with the evening at EM Alta Baixa. We will recomand you on the highest level. Thank you for a wonderful evening and a perfect experiance .

10/10What a lovely restaurant! We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here. Everything we ordered was tasty, and sitting out on the street was great. The staff was busy but kind, and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and return if we’re back in Lisbon!!

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome and special. The food was very, véry good and as the only vegetarian in our group of 6, I had one of the best dinners while in Lisbon during our 10-day stay. I’m already looking forward to come back again.
