The best part was Daniele, the knowledgable and enthusiastic sommelier, who guided me through a tour of five different Sicilian wines — three whites, one red, and one dessert wine, a Malvasia. My advice: take his advice.

Fantastic service and the waiter was helpful with advising on how many courses to order. We decided on 2 in the end and that was more than enough. Delicious food and Prosecco, highly recommended.

We had booked an expensive four-course meal with wine. The food was poorly presented and, apart from the cannoli (dessert), none of the dishes tasted good. We spent four weeks in Sicily and this was the only time we didn't enjoy the food. Every pasta dish for €10 and every street food sandwich was much tastier than these dishes. The fish was dry, the fennel salad consisted of nothing but stalks on our plates, the octopus salad was not seasoned, the caponata was cold, etc. On top of that, we had to sit outside in a tent. We were told beforehand that we would be sitting by a heater, but we sat without a heater and without blankets at the entrance to the tent, so we had to ask for warm things several times. In the end, we sat there freezing, wearing jackets and scarves, with cold backs, and rushed through the menu as quickly as possible so we could leave. Unfortunately, this has been our only bad experience with food so far.
Enosteria SiculaComparisons with street food from local markets are out of place. The dishes you describe as “cold” were starters intentionally designed and served at room temperature, such as Black Pepper Tuna Bresaola, Amberjack Caponata, the Oyster, and the Seafood Salad with Octopus and Calamari, which by their nature cannot and should not be served hot. As for the premium Meagre Fillet with fennel and orange salad, it was one of the most appreciated dishes of the evening by other guests. The outdoor area complies with the regulations of the Municipality of Palermo, like all those in the city center: there are three heaters, one for each area, and we never mentioned blankets but hot water bottles, which you did receive. Regarding the value of the experience, we disagree: the menu also included a welcome toast, one bottle of wine for every four people, and celebratory sparkling wine, featuring high-quality labels and references. I think it’s a nice restaurant with a new proposal of Italian and Sicilian cuisine, with and excellent wine selection. The atmosphere is very nice and the waiters are very friendly.

The Cannolo of salmon I didn't really like. The cannolo was more than hard to eat, and burst open when trying to cut with a knife. Too small portion also for the price. The starter was nice I had.

How could you ever eat it with cutlery? 😄 Moreover, the type of fish may vary depending on daily availability, as we always focus on freshness and quality. On our menu (accessible via the QR code on the table), you can find photos of every dish, to help guests make informed choices and avoid any misunderstanding. The canolo is a must try, even better than their speciality. We love the meatballs and risotto. The service was great, the toilet was clean, the staffs were lovely, friendly and attentive. Shame the payment by The Fork didn't work which is a little annoying but not the restaurant's fault. We had no space for dessert but will come back again to try the rest of the menu when we are back in Palermo.

Ecellent food and good choice of wines. The rissoto was a standout as was the rolled swordfish. Plan to go again. A change from the usual choices available as the meals had very well balanced flavours.

We never hesitate to raise our hand and apologize when mistakes are made — something that can certainly happen when working hard or when oversights occur. However, it is important to bring clarity to this situation.

The place is nice and the food too. But the service it's toooooo slow. We had a reservation at 21:30 and we finished eating at 23:15 (we eat fast, so the food arrived really late)

Our philosophy is to offer a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience, not a “fast” meal like in a fast food restaurant. We understand that you may have a different pace, but for most of our guests an attentive and well-paced service, designed to accompany the evening, is an essential part of the experience ❤️

High quality dishes. Traditional with a creative twist. Brilliant. Amongst an huge selection of restaurants all seemingly offering virtually the same menu, this restaurant is a superb dining option. Highly recommended. I expected more enthusiastic wine service as the wines on display were a very impressive collection. Us tourists do not necessarily know what’s great in Sicily. We are open to be impressed. I felt it was a missed opportunity. I felt the QR code menu, (they are everywhere on the island) don’t allow the servers to engage with guests. I certainly could have, and would have, indulged in more of what Enosteria Sicula had to offer if the servers engaged with me.

Ambience is very nice - we sat inside within the stone walls. The service was quite slow. Took 20 minutes before anyone spoke with us. Perhaps a mix up, but once we were approached, everything was very good. The food was very good. Particularly the pork dish, which was excellent. Wines were very good as well and recommendations much appreciated.

It makes absolutely no sense. This kind of customer care is part of the philosophy of Enosteria Sicula, a restaurant in the heart of Palermo that works every day with seriousness and professionalism to offer an authentic Sicilian dining experience. Penalizing us with such a low score is outrageous. Great cousins that merges traditional food with creative twists perfectly! The fish was very fresh and the tastes balanced. The cellar offered plenty of great local choices. The staff was super kind and spoke great English.

Food was bellow average. Service was really slow although the servers were nice. Overall I would not recommend.

It’s likely that it simply wasn’t fully appreciated. The dishes you didn’t enjoy were, in fact, very well received by other guests dining with us on Monday the 23rd. As we do every evening, that service was reviewed in detail, and more than one table personally complimented the kitchen team and the chef. Furthermore, you dined using a 50 Yums discount in about an hour—perfectly reasonable timing for a restaurant like ours, which is neither a fast food place nor a deli. Let us also remind you that we don’t offer fixed menus: all dishes at Enosteria Sicula are prepared fresh, made to order. Lastly, we noticed you rated the service a 6, despite highlighting the kindness of our staff—perhaps a more generous rating would have reflected that better.
