We chose Japanese - although the soy was in a Kikoman bottle it did not taste quite right. Sashimi OK but very average same with tempura. Menu looked in need of replacement- tatty

We had a great afternoon for a guys lunch. The food was fantastic, the staff were great and we all enjoyed ourselves. Also have to mention the music was amazing, old classics like The Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. Great value, can’t wait to return.

Really good Asian food! I love the salmon poke bowl!! 😋 Great service. And it’s nice and warm inside when it’s cold out. When it’s nice out there’s great outside seating too

Sushi was fantastic and great value. Nice bottle of wine and great starters. We sat outside in the sun and the waiter was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely return.

Our second visit and we had different dishes than on the first visit but all were of the same high standard. Attentive service, good value wines. We will certainly return.

Enjoyed our mixed starter and green curry, pad thai and chicken & cashew. Good service, house red was fine, very reasonable prices. Would certainly be back if we had enough holiday left :-(

We tried this place about 3 years ago and were not impressed but the change has been phenomenal. Thoroughly enjoyed the food last night. The Tom Yum soup was extremely tasty and the satay starter was more than enough for two people. Two main dish curries were also very tasty. Definitely will return.

Nice little restaurant near the ferry in Tavira. The sushi and sashimi was excellent, big choice of food, including Thai red or green curry. Helpful, friendly staff, although it was the first day our waitress was working there so the chef came and helped her take our order.

The food was excellent, though they didn’t have any prawns for the curry, so we opted for chicken which was very tasty. Our friends were disappointed to find that there were no desserts available. Overall very good.

The service was passive-aggressive, especially when 1 dish provided wasn't correct, and then when the bill to be corrected. Mistakes happen - such as the mix-up with orders and bills. However, the reaction of the staff was unprofessional. Food ok. Sushi and paenang curry nice. But Pad Thai was blunt, and chillis to add spice not provided. Sadly, we won't return.

We've been to Ensui four times now and the quality of the food was excellent. On 31 March, the "seared" tuna was not seared - the exterior was a pale brown and tasted as though it had been done in a pan that was not hot, with the flavour of "boiled" fish - previously, the sauce was delicious - not so in this case. The lobster/prawn burger had a strong taste of cod liver.... no prawn or lobster flavour at all - it was inedible and we sent it back. The Prawn Poke bowl contained rice, cucumber, mango, avo, semphire? and that was it.... no Asian sauce, no seasoning. The prawns were tasteless. Sadly, we will certainly not be visiting this restaurant again.... because of the previous freshness and high quality of flavour, we were looking forward to the meal.

Our first experience here tonight. Two of us had sushi, one Japanese noodles, and one had fish & chips! All dishes were tasty! Server was a little hard to understand but very kind and sweet. We all enjoyed desserts and coffee! Would definitely go again.

We often eat here and the food is always top class with a fast efficient service. Our only problem is that at this time of year when it is much colder at night the door is left ope open at times. Theirs is because if it is closed it can’t be open from the outside. If you have a table just inside then it is draughty and cold. Please change the door handle so that it can be opened and closed from the outside.

Everything was really great but the day was horrible and we were the only customers. So sad and frustrating for them. We had sushi and sashimi combo and two different curries. All was excellent and cannot fault.

We had a lovely dinner at this place, both Thai and Japanese cuisine were really good. The atmosphere is informal with nice and soft music and the service is very quick. We will come back for sure.

Delicious and beautifully presented sushi and sashimi. Pad Thai was a bit different than I have had before but definitely tasty! Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and would highly recommend this restaurant.

This was our second visit here and again we were very impressed with the food. With the 30% discount it certainly is value for money.
