I'm traveling a lot and always try to go for a tasting menu/ fine dining experience. In Epicur, I had some of the best things I've ever ate. Bravo to the chef!

First night in Faro- and this restaurant was incredible. Food, ambience & service was outstanding- the manager (sorry, didn’t catch his name) was a great host- I was a solo traveller and made to feel welcome. Highly recommend the tasting menu. 600 wines by the glass- awesome.

No introduction to the restaurant or the experience. Dropped off cheese board & ravioli dish to never return to our table again! Raviolli was miserably salty, it took quite some time to flag down the waiter. By the time i literally waived down the waiter, the experience was ruined and I wanted to leave. He had no explanation why he never returned to our table and completely did not care that the first food I tried in Algarve was so salty I couldn’t eat eat it! He was mire concerned about getting back to the bar to enjoy wine with his friends, complete disregard to the customer experience or my money!

One of the most creative chefs in the Algarve. Creative, delicious food combined with playful plating. If you are a semi adventurous eater, you will be pleased by the combination of ingredients that sing together. Combined with the best front of house, sommelier and wine list. A winning combination! You will need a reservation as this is a hot restaurant!

Great food, great ambience, service to be improved. Very tasty dishes and very well presented, accompanied by very nice music.The only pain point was the service: at least with us, too slow (waited 1 hour for the first dish), too sloppy (not asked for water, not asked for dessert despite we wanted too, difficult to have attention of waiter). Maybe it was an exceptional case, but with just some more care on service would have been a 5/5.

From arrival until the moment we left the service was attentive but not intrusive and the food sublime, my second visit and not my last. We had the A la Carte and chose 5 dishes between two people and it was the perfect amount, thank you Epicur for a lovely evening

We enjoyed most of the food (the cabbage soup from the ravioli course was a little bitter but I think that's just preference). The whole experience was lovely and they let you have a rest between courses if you wanted to. Highlight was the first course and steak course for me. Presentation and taste of the food was wonderful and being able to taste the wine before you ordered a bottle was amazing.

+4We stayed in Tavira for a few days and decided to drive to Faro for dinner here because of the reviews we read, and their neon sign caught my husband's attention lol. We were NOT disappointed. This is a tapas-style (petiscos) restaurants which is the way we love to eat. The plating, the flavors, and the textures were all so incredibly unique. All were created by the chef, who was the only one working in the kitchen. Then there was the service, the only one serving was Rodrigo, who's also part owner, he was also the sommelier and was so knowledgeable about all the unique wines he served us. We let him just pour for us to go along with our dishes and couldn't have been happier with the selections and we actually import wines from Portugal to the USA! The wine selection and the food there are top notch and so different than other restaurants so get ready to have an experience. We couldn't recommend this place more and can't wait to go back!

Great food, creative signature dishes that drove us crazy. Each new thing we tasted was better than the last. Nice wine selection with only Portuguese wines, we enjoyed a nice Verde wine and later sparkling and madeira. Service was impeccable, definitely recommend for couples of groups of friend who want to taste amazing local food you're not gonna find anywhere else.

This was our third visit and the food wine and service were ,as usual , ,of impeccable quality. A bonus this year was a short surrealist black and white film reminiscent of Luis Bunuel and Man Ray. We will be back next year.

Attentive and informed service. Food is tasty but portion size is small for the price. Stylish setting but poor acoustics so noisy. Non- drinkers are not catered for at all. You are told the choice for drinks is wine or water and that's it.

George and his chef travel the world to bring global culinary ideas to Portuguese small plates. We had a group of 10 people and were treated to sharing small plates. The food was amazing, the service attentive. George complimented the plates with some very nice wines from Alentejo and Douro regions. A memorable evening in Faro.
