Super cute restaurant with well labelled allergens on the menu. The staff were very kind. I had the risotto and it was decent but nothing outstanding.

There was unfortunately quite a few things that made us dislike our visit, despite the food being quite tasty. 1. The meat section of the menu wasn't included in the discount, which would have been nice to know beforehand. The drink menu is btw unavailable in English and contains a misprint. 2. The restaurant was completely empty during our visit at 18.30-19.45. 3. The shrimp and tuna were overcooked. 4. There were at least 5 bones of varying sizes in the fish filé. 5. The bathroom couldn't be locked (I asked). Overall, the restaurant gives the image of luxury but doesn't deliver that in the slightest.

The fork discount does not apply to 30 percent of the menu. All the steaks and desserts do not apply for the discount. I will say the food was really good but I gave a lower rating due to the confusing promotion rules for the menu.

The venue was clean and ok, the wait was long and one simple dish on the menu was not available post ordering it. In the end the other dishes ordered were good. Staff was kind and overall alright, but not sure I would return.

A bit weird combinations of food, interesting and nice, but should have been mentioned that many dishes feature liquorice. If we didn't like it, it would have been a bad time. Images seemed quite different from actual.

The waitress was so kind, thanks a lot, i enjoyed everything, especially the pistacchio cream with the buratta and bresaola !! Kisses from Paris 🥖🇫🇷

The food was good, but a expensive meal.. The service could have been better. The waitress was nice, but maybe to much to handle the restaurant alone as waitress.

When I checked the receipt，the service guy told me there is a service charge for 3Euros per person. Really funny, because of we are Asians? If it is ur regulation，you should let customer know it in advance.
Esoticum Restaurant & Lounge BarOf course not madame. Asian People is very welcome in our restaurant. We have a lot of asian costumers. The service charge in Italy is normal, called " coperto" . We explain every thing when we give the menu " steaks, drinks and coperto is not included. Thank you for you review

Lovely setting outside, we had the table outside and enjoyed it. The food was really good, tried 3 dishes, one of them was average the most (my personal taste, the mussels were overcooked in my opinion). The salmon and the spaghetti with shrimp were excellent. The first waiter did not speak English, but the second one did and was super helpful. No issues with the discount, but keep in mind it doesn’t apply to the meat menu.

The food was great. Very delicious. Unfortunately were the meat dishes not included by the discount. They didn’t tell us that before. But overall a good experience.

Food very average. Not very tasty. Some mussel shells left. Mussels too cooked. Not worth the price, even with the 50% discount

The restaurant is in a narrow street, near the boulevard and the new aquarium in Genua. Reception is friendly, service is attentive throughout the evening, but clearly not 100% professional. The menu offers some nice descriptions, conveniently in a lot of different languages. We shared a fish carpaccio dish, which looked great and tasted nice. The main courses were squid risotto, with a creamy (milk, Italian cooks would never do this!) sauce and some shrimps. The taste was a bit flat, but most importantly: the dish was served on a cold plate and cooled down within minutes which ruined the taste. The second main course was the classic Genua dish of pasta with green pesto, beans and potato. This was also somewhat flat and, no exception, too cold. Dessert was a good mousse of passion fruit, nicely served. The price of about €110 for two persons with water and some wine seemed fair. There is still a lot to learn for Esoticum: use warm plates, create more depth in taste, turn down the background music (it was really too loud), and stay a bit closer to the Italian cuisine.

The dining experience at Esoticum was exquisite - the was extraordinary, unique and very tasty. The service and atmosphere very pleasant and friendly. Undoubtedly an experience to repeat and I can strongly recommend it to everyone.

Unfortunately very poor and slow service . Food was average. Picahna was cuts of cold and dry meat. I had to cut it by hand cause no knife on the table . Spaghetti well overcooked. Very bad san Valentino evening. Not recommended at all

i was searching for some seafood restaurant near of the Genova Aquarium, then I found this one. The name was the first thing that I liked, but the experience is what remains, and it was amazing. My favorite plate was gazpacho with row shrimp and double tuna. Thank you guys
