Food was delicious, great ambiance!

The restaurant is located slightly outside the city in a suburban area, but it is worth the journey as the food is really excellent. The owner's daughter gives customers her personal attention, and the food was cooked to perfection in a traditional, home-cooking style. The flavours are rich and intense, without overpowering the fresh and high quality ingredients. This is a restaurant that I will surely visit again when I return to Barcelona.

If you’re looking for quality seafood and a non touristy restaurant, this will be the perfect choice. The calamari were wonderful and the hake and grilled sole were outstanding. A delicious wine accompanied the meal. Would go back on a regular basis if I lived here. The family were so friendly and keen to make sure everything was just right - special people, special place!

Most authentic local restaurant in Barcelona with amazing seafood and kind reception. Our family and friends like to visit anytime in Barcelona. Can’t wait until next time.

We selected the restaurant to enjoy the seafood and fishes and were delighted by the experience. All the food was excellent, the restaurant was small and cosy; we would be happy to return there an a future visit.

Discrete but excellent seafood restaurant, it was a great discovery in Barcelona for my wife and I. Products are simple but of excellent quality. Even the traditional fried calamari tasted different, I guess from the quality of the product. The chef, who often came to us and asked if everything was alright, and the waitress were friendly.

Very friendly and personal service from the owner. They brought the fish selection to the table for us to pick our dinner. Nice recommendation of a local wine.

Father and daughter restaurant, and they showed a lot of pride in their business. Small, white linens, quaint seafood restaurant. You literally get to pick your fish of the day, they bring it to your table and you can choose. The hake was big enough for four meals, and I learned that portions near the tail had less bones. I don’t mind bones. We had hake and sea bass, and baby squid and oysters. Excellent local wine was recommended. It was so good we forgot our table manners when the food came. Had a wonderful time talking with the owners. We’ve been in Spain for three weeks, and this was the best meal we’ve had.

Food was really disappoint, lobster was very dry and salty, seafood stew very chewy and the whole experience was not worth the money and time. It was Friday evening and there was no one in the restaurant apart from us, which explains why. A place to avoid!

The welcome by the owners was warm and gracious. They spent time showing us the fresh produce before cooking and recommended a delicious wine. The baby squid sauteed with scallions was divine. Could have just eaten bread dipped in the sauce all night and been satisfied. The depth of flavour was fabulous. Mains were a monkfish, squid and prawn dish and a beautifully cooked piece of hake. Both were outstanding. The quality of the food and the warmth of the welcome and farewell by the owners, puts this restaurant at the top of our places to eat in Barcelona and we will visit again.

The restaurant is a little walk from metro station. Staff are nice. Though their English not good, they do provide English menu and bring fresh seafood to show you. Fresh taste!

We were so overwhelmed with the quality and hospitality at Esthvan. Family run and you could feel the warmth. All our dishes were fabulous. We all had fresh fish. The fishes were all shown to us first. We could not be happier. A hidden gem ! Off the beaten track. Sooo worth the 10 minute cab ride. I promise.

Tiny restaurant outside de city center, but perhaps it has the best seafood in Barcelona! Fresh seafood cooked in very simple ways, but all is tasty. Family owned and operated, it has been in business since 1989! Don’t miss it!

Just fantastic food, totally sea food and Spanish. Great wine and very good value. An amazing evening in an area you might not visit but well worth it
