Very good and friendly service, did more than was expected and were genuinely kind and interested, especially for older people for who it was a first time visit to a churrascaria.

A nice little neighborhood spot with great service. We have been looking for a solid restaurant in the neighborhood (there are so many that all seem similar) and Estrela do Bairro is it! the food was fresh and well-prepared - I had Piri-piri chicken and my husband had the Octopus, and lovely service. It was cold and rainy so we sat inside - hopefully will get to sit outside on our next visit. Definitely recommend for a simple typical Portuguese meal in Bairro Alto.

Food we ordered was okay. Not as great as I expected. Grilled fishes and codfish in creamy sauce were just okay. A bit disappointed as we were really looking forward to it. However the service was great. Very friendly people.

Our server Guiri was terrific. Very friendly and fun. We had 6 people visiting with various dietary restrictions and he was patient and helpful. Food was delicious and service was excellent.

Great food! Great service! I can only recommend that place. The food is very delicious and you have a big and good choice of Portuguese food. My friends from Germany liked it a lot back in September as well. We shared 3 different dishes then and drunk some sangria. A perfect dinner in Bairro Alto. Afterwards you can go for a nice walk and enjoy the city.

We had a great experience at Estrela do Bairro! The service was extremely attentive and helpful. We enjoyed the traditional olive/cheese/bread starter then each enjoyed a bowl of soup (the vegetable or the tomato). It was a rainy weekday evening and it was DELICIOUS. Between four of us we split 3 meals. We liked each of them and the portions were generous.

Food was great and affordable. Service was nice. They even offered us free glasses of wine and free shots of ginja and port.

The Food was delicious and fresh . The attendant was lovely .Siting outdoor and indoor . Prices are reasonable but I didn’t find any tourists trap as I reading the reviews over here ,no doubt bairroalto is full of tourists .Love to come back and try some more Portuguese traditional dishes .Highly recommended.
