6.5/10All the wines on the shelves are mature and quite expensive. Apart from those, the selection is small. Food is mediocre, staff is very friendly. There is no fado.

8/10Great food, cool atmosphere, being able to choose any bottle off the wall is such a great layout. The food was so delicious and the staff had many great recommendations. It’s a super small space so definitely make a reservation.

9/10Sadly empty and rather soulless (at 8pm on a Tuesday evening) but an energetic and cheerful barmaid/waitress provided what atmosphere she could. Great choice of wines and better-then-average food from the mother-restaurant across the road.

8.5/10The restaurant had a very clam and relaxed atmosphere. The menu offered a good selection of dishes and the food was served in good time and was delicious. We had exceptional service thorough out our whole meal with a super friendly waitress who gave us great advise and knew lots about the wines. Highly recommended.

6.5/10I made reservations after reading an online review regarding how quaint the atmosphere, how delicious the food, and about live Fado music. The food was delicious, priced well; not too expensive. We were greeted warmly. Our table was definitely quiet and quaint. There was no one in restaurant at 8pm. Everyone else was outside. Our inside, reserved table was very small. Seats very uncomfortable, no backs, and tiny. I thought I could lean on the wall for my back, but it was loosely stacked wine crates. No leaning! Fado music was only on the overhead speakers, playing pleasantly low for our conversation. I liked this restaurant and could recommend for anyone wanting good food, but eat outside. The tables are much better and so are the chairs.

9.5/10There's no Fado at Fado & Wine (at least the Friday evening when we were there) so I almost canceled our reservation. So glad I didn't. The food was great as was the service. I had the monkfish and rice while my wife got the asparagus risotto; both were in the top-3 best meals we had this trip.

10/10The staff have excellent wine knowledge and were able to discuss and provide wines from difficult to find regions of Portugal I was interested in trying. The garlic shrimp was the best dish I have ever had. The lemon, butter, and garlic ratios were spot on.

10/10Fado and Wine was a gem of a find. Located within 5 mins of our hotel in the Baixa Chiado area, it blends great Portuguese music and food to create a great atmosphere. A really relaxing and welcoming venue. Highly recommended.

10/10My server made a great suggestion to try a green wine to go with my octopus salad and the cod chips. Octopus was done to perfection. Very tender and nice mix of spices. The cod chips were equally delicious. Highly recommend both.

10/10We (my colleague and I) had a great experience. A very friendly staff brought us delicious seafood, and a great selection of wine and ports. The atmosphere inside was so cozy and opulent at the same time, that we decided to return with a group of 10 a few days later as part of a team evening. Again everything was top notch; the food, the friendly and welcoming staff and a very reasonable pricetag. Just don’t expect there to be Fado music; there was none. Expect a lovely evening in an atmospheric wine bar!

10/10So many good places to eat; so many mediocre to heart- breakingly bad. I can only tell you that 'Fado to Wine' will never disappoint those who truly love fine flavours, and with staff who are at their happiest when you are happy. This is far beyond a restaurant, it combines that & more; making a trinity with its wine shop and excellent tapas bar, and a premier quality hotel for those who love all their pleasures together! - And all slap bang in the centre of town! We found it, we love it, and we will carry the memory of it.

9/10Host was passionate about hospitality. Wine knowledge superb as was food recommended. Food delicious and great ambience. Service was great, only negative was a slight wait to get our bill as they were extremely busy. This shows how popular restaurant is. Definitely book otherwise you will be turned away

10/10Really enjoyed our dinner at Fado & Wine. The atmosphere was really nice and the manager who waited on us did a great job with wine and food selections. My wife had the the jumbo prawns and they were, yes, jumbo and nicely prepared. The octopus was fantastic. The appetizer of fish (perhaps grouper) was ok but not nearly as great as the entrees. We would be happy to return next time in Lisbon.

10/10Absolutely loved this place. What a great dining experience. The food was lovely, the port was beautiful, the service was friendly, with some good knowledge on port and wine, not overly attentive but just right. Homemade desserts which were delicious too. We were sat inside on a small table and made to feel very welcome. The hot food came over from the restaurant across the way. I tried 2 excellent ports and the red wine was also delicious. Book ahead, definitely get the cheese and ham board and try at least one of the aged ports!

8.5/10The only reason that I am not going there again is that a can of normal coca cola is 4. 5 euro, which is considered unreasonable! The food was not bad but just normal Portuguese food and wasn't hot enough. The ambient is perfect and the service is perfect.

10/10Place is literally amazing, we loved everything starting from food and ending with the service. A Brazilian girl was serving us during the dinner and she is wonderful, can’t remember last time I saw more polite, cheerful and open-hearted person in the restaurant. She recommended absolutely incredible wine so we ended up purchasing even more. Highly recommend Fado & Wine for the atmosphere, food and wine! Stunning ????
