Ottimo cibo, buon equilibrio tra cucina tradizionale romana e piatti più creativi ma sempre in stile tradizionale. Scelte classiche sono anche presenti. Il vino ottimo, senza acidità e corposo senza costare un occhio, mezze bottiglie anche in caso non si voglia stecchare un intera bottiglia in due. Sevizio educato e professionale, cameriere esperto e capace. L'ambiente molto curato, musica dolce di sottofondo, temperatura perfetta, bella la piccola stanza con pochi tavoli e la pergotenda con le fairy lights molto accogliente, no rumore da esterno, solo dei commensali. Parcheggio no problem con la piazza del mercato dall'altro lato della strada The food was excellent, (all homemade hence the name of the place) it was interesting that is still traditional but with creativity while it is still true to roman cuisine. They also had more classic choises for pickier eaters. The wine was great quality without being expensive, the half bottles were cool so people could drink without having to finishing a whole bottle or restraining their drinking to a chalice. The service was top, the waiter (who speaks English btw) was extremely professional and experienced, very refined and knew etiquette as well, could tell he loves his job. The ambience was relaxing, soft music played the whole time, the very small space with a few table was cute, the enclosed pergola outside with the fairy lights was warm and cozy and the noise from the street (super busy with loud pedestrians on a Saturday night) did not penetrate through the front. They are also right in front of piazzale San nilo so plenty of parking available.

I was there with a friend at lunch and while their menu is well thought and the dishes well presented and tasty, I found some dust in my glass and the mise-en-place had not been previously checked, as it presented traces of some oily stuff. The service is fast and the girls are polite and helpful in presenting the off-menu specialties of the day, but we found the check to be a little over the top, considered the quantity and the context. Can be improved.

I’ve been to this place a few times and the food and service is always excellent. The ravioli with Gorgonzola and pear was absolutely delicious, as was the pork loin with prunes, pine nuts and raisins. The house white is local from Marino and did the job just fine. My parents adored the cheesecake and the homemade vin Santo and cantucci biscuits. Everything is beautifully presented and we always love coming here. Given the quality, the prices are super reasonable. We are looking forward to the next time already. Ottimo!

The pasta course was delicious and expertly cooked. Our charming and efficient waiter recommended an excellent and inexpensive local red to go with a succulent sirloin steak that was grilled to perfection.
