The quality of food was very good. I particularly enjoyed the ricotta and tomato flan and my vegetarian wife enjoyed the lasagne. We were disappointed with the service. Many of the staff looked miserable and struggled to raise a smile ( even when we smiled at them). Bread has to be asked for instead of being provided (as is normal). The bearded waiter taking the order was brusque and even told me off for trying to order my main out of sequence ( no - you next- pointing at my wife). He then pointed at me to let me know when I could order, without taking his eyes off his machine or showing any sort of manners. It seemed as though we had inconvenienced him( he seemed very experienced but bored with his job). This rudeness was somewhat balanced by the helpful young waiter( not bearded) who dealt with our requests efficiently and with a smile. The lady who served dessert was also very good with our daughter. After reading the great reviews before booking, We left feeling underwhelmed.

We were looking forward to our family dinner very much. The food came fast - but it was a big disappointment! The worst food we had in Tuskany so far. The ribs tasted burned and weird, the rest was less than average, small portions and expensive. Coupled with bad service, it was not a nice experience. The place looked nice but there was loud music in the back. I would not recommend this place at all!

Fattoria Degli Usignoli was disappointing in every way - I'm really surprised that The Fork gives them a high rating because it was one of the worst dinner experiences I've had in the 6 years I've lived in Tuscany. The food quality was terrible, the restaurant is extremely loud, the food is overpriced and there was a 20% service charge added onto our bill (for a table of 2), which is absolutely unheard of here in Italy. 4 employees were either near us or walked by us standing at the reception for a full 10 minutes without greeting us or letting us know in any way that someone would come to seat us. No one responded until I asked if we were waiting in the right place, and then we waited some more. The place is LOUD - it serves a tour bus clientele, and there were two bus loads of people eating dinner. The dishes we ate ranged from okay to terrible. The side salad consisted of sad yellowed iceberg lettuce with three cherry tomatoes cut in half, We left as soon as we ate 3/4 of our meal because we couldn't hear our own conversation. Again, we waited at the till while employees walked by without acknowledging that we were waiting there. The woman who finally rang up our bill neither greeted us when she finally came to the till, looked at us, asked how the food was, or even indicated that she was aware of our presence until she wordlessly handed me the bill. The Fork discount was there, but for a terrible meal of one pasta, one pizza, a side salad and two appetizers (they were the only decent thing we ate), and 2 glasses of house white, the bill came to €60. Note that there was a €5 cover for each of us = €10 total - this is double what any other restaurant charges for service. While our waiter was decent once we sat down (the only reason I gave 3 stars his service only), but the staff service in general was awful). This place needs a simple customer service training for all their employees, especially since they're catering to tourists. The only worthy characteristic about this place is the gorgeous setting - the rest was hugely disappointing. There are so many good restaurants here in Tuscany; find another one.

We had a very good lunch: the location is wonderful, on hills and a great landscape on the Chianti's area. The restaurant is well located with outside and inside areas. We got a Florentine's steak and some appetizers, plus a very good Chianti's wine. Service very good and on time. Strongly suggested.

Its a place with a beautiful view but the food is just fine not really good or really bad just fine for the price pizza was more burnt than expected and the asparagus with egg just didn’t have much flavor

Super Restaurant. Excellent food and wine at reasonable prices. The truffle pasta was absolutely delicious. The t-none was right to the point as well.
