We had the duck rice, croquettes (lamb) and oysters. Everything was super average. The Croquettes are better than your average croquettes. But overall it’s definitely not worth the price and overrated. Wouldn’t return for anything but the croquettes for a delicious afternoon snack with a beer.

Incredible how this restaurant gets a Michelin recommendation. The food was poorly made, two portions of steak tartare, one creamy and delicious the other dry and untaste. The fire oven made rices were so dry and glued to the pan that more than half was impossible to eat, the char boiled vegetables were carbonized. The service was slow, actually very slow, only 20 min after being seated at the table they brought the covert and even so because we reinforce the demand. No one care or asked if the service or the food were fine. This is not food or service for a restaurant that pretends to be on the top scene of fine dining in Lisbon.

Being in Lisbon for Business, we discovered this gem of a restaurant. From the moment you enter, a cozy atmosphere and unique scent from the wood-fired ovens caress you. Service is attentive but decent, and everything you get served is home made, delicious and special. The degustation menu offers great value for a moderate price - it was just a bit too much for us to finish everything. Will return to explore the rest of the menu on the next occasion!

We were served bread and wine and then waited for 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food. There was no explanation until we complained. We were told by the wait staff there was trouble with the oven. The chief came after the meal and explained that due to many rice orders the ovens didn’t have the capacity to handle it.. They should have told us that so we could have the option to change our order not just left there unattended and waiting. As well the duck rice was very salty. I do not recommend this place.

We loved everything about this meal- from the bread service (the house made butter and corn bread were standouts), the fish tartare to the T-bone (with sides of potato salad and kimchi) it was all sublime. One of our servers recommended the baked rice and we were glad for the add-on as it was delicious. We didn’t think we had space for dessert, but the Pao de Lo Humido was suggested and it too was phenomenal. Service was that perfect blend of efficiency, attentiveness and Portuguese warmth. Highly recommend!

I'd categorise the experience at FOGO as ok. We went early (18:30) before a concert, and were the only ones in the restaurant so that probably made a difference with the ambience, which isn't the restaurant's fault. The staff were welcoming, professional and friendly, but quite brief considering we were the only people there. The restaurant itself felt large and quite cold, which was ironic given the "FIRE" name. The dishes we chose (beef tartare, oyster, bread and butter, duck croquette for starter, chicken with blood rice and daily fish for main) were all good but not really memorable. They would have benefited from more narrative (for instance why the cooked tuna skin was crispy and the flesh was chilled). There was nothing wrong with the experience, but for the premium price there was nothing really exceptional. It was competent and fine, but not something I would recommend a friend should choose over about Lisbon restaurant.

Excellent appetisers and mains. The desert was a bit uninspired and coffee (expresso) was dreadful (dark water without foam), very unusual in Portugal particularly in a restaurant of this standing. Service is perfect, friendly, attentive, professional and relaxed. The music can be a bit too loud and intrusive.

The best food we had in Lisbon! The oysters with baked lemon sorbet were genius, and the sponge cake with olive oil and fleur de sel, served with homemade ice cream, was extraordinary.

All the food that we ordered was very good. Starting with the oysters, the shells and as a main dish we had rice with duck. The meat was soft and flavoured. The stuff was very friendly . Will definitely come back.

Exceptional starters, very good main. The desserts were fine, but I expected a bit more. Our waiter forgot one of our orders and also seemed like he poured wine for the first time. Overall it was a very good experience.

Our meals were delicious with one exception - a rice dish was significantly undercooked. We returned it, but as expected, a new dish would have taken 20-30 minutes to cook so we opted to just go without. Otherwise, our experience was great.
