10/10I was visiting Lisbon for the weekend from the UK and had an evening to myself before meeting friends the next day so went for dinner at FOGO. The restaurant has a great ambiance, I loved the open kitchen and lighting set up. The staff were very friendly and professional and the food was excellent. In fact the menu looked so good that I ended up returning there for lunch on the Sunday so I think that counts as a good recommendation to anyone reading this to give it a try.

9.5/10We spend part of our year living in Lisbon and have eaten at FOGO on a number of occasions. The staff are all friendly, helpful and professional. The food is always fresh, of high quality and very well prepared and imaginative! I love the restaurant and would highly recommend FOGO. One minor criticism is that a number of the spotlights above the tables can give a rather harsh, glaring light into diners faces - perhaps management could consider dimming these?

7.5/10The meat was almost cold. No wine with the main course, staff should be more on point. Just ask the customers if they want wine. Easy upsell. And there was an ant on the the dessert.

7.5/10Kind service and great ambience, but frankly disappointing food for the price point. Got a fairly bland seabass. Others in the table were a bit luckier, but just a bit with the ossobuco and the brisket.

10/10We went during our honeymoon. We both had the tasting menu and it blew us away. The service, ambiance, and most of all the food were all exceptional. They made our dinner so special, and we loved every minute we spent here. Could not recommend more!

10/10Beautiful food! Everything is amazing quality, from the homemade sourdough bread, to the meat and fish dishes, to the desserts, which are not too sweet, just as I like them! The service is always super friendly and efficient. This is definitely one of my current favorites in Lisbon!

10/10My girlfriend and I first visited Fogo in October 2021 and it shot straight to the top of one of my favourite restaurants, so we decided to visit once again on our next trip to Lisbon. Fogo offers great food and great service, right in the heart of Lisbon, it didn’t disappoint then and it didn’t disappoint second time around.

5.5/10Way too experimental for diner for a family with teenagers. To put the realistic chicken leg into the plate gives no extra value. By the way there was way too much fat from meat present in the pork dish to be agreable. Nice atmosphere but more a hype then a place for a tasty dinner. Sorry.

9/10Food is terrific but very rich. I had pernil pork shank and husband had hake dish. Both delicious. Do get bread service, it's awesome.

7/10Food was good However, they only have their food menu only accessible via a QR code was. Seems tacky considering the price point and timing in 2023. I would consider going back to try more dishes, though next time I would be extra cautious who I might invite knowing what I know now.

10/10A fantastic place, very cosy ambience, beautifully decorated. We decided to go for the tasting menu with wine pairing. Superb. Very rich in flavors. Delicious. Vitor and Barbara who attended our table were very kind and always interested in knowing our impressions, explaining the food and its ingredients and if we needed something else. Alexandre Silva is a Master. His presence at the entrance of the restaurant, his choice and preparation of drinks to accompany the starters was a grateful surprise. He also was at the door to wish us a see you soon (for sure!) at the end. No doubt an experience above our expectations. Fully recommended.

10/10Being a fan of meat cooked over the open flame, when I realized our hotel was across the street from Fogo I booked a table immediately. As I reached to open the door, a host opened it and welcomed us inside, seating us quickly with a great view of the kitchen where a large fire was burning. A faint smoky flavour hung in the air. We began with a glass of vinho tinto from the Douro Valley, quickly settling on getting a whole bottle. As an appetizer we had the bread service and mussels which were so amazing, just perfect. My wife ordered the lamb which was served on Fogo’s oven rice. I ordered the pork shank which came with roasted potatoes. We enjoyed every bit, and the oven rice is incredible. The pork shank was covered with a nice crackling that went so well with the tender meat near the bone! I enjoyed the caramelized rice pudding for desert while my wife had the cheesecake…we happily walked back to our hotel, satisfied and stuffed. We had two young ladies that waited on us and both were fantastic, very quick to top our glasses and very happy to discuss the menu with us. Overall, a wonderful restaurant experience!

8/10Service is good but with room to improve. The meat is very good, but the side dish could be much better. The space is beautiful and all the decor is fire related. It's a bit pricey.

6.5/10I took the lamb with rize ,unfurtanly the wasnt good it was hard and full of feat. the bread puding we took as a dessert we didnt like. We would like to eat a rib eye but the only the have was 1.2 kl ,and for two people is to much. I was very dissapointed

8.5/10Service could have been better. Empty glasses shouldn’t be a thing in an upscale restaurant. The steak tartare had not much taste to it. The rib eye was very nice. 1 is enough for two people. Maybe something the waiter should have mentioned as well.

7.5/10It's a special place and the ambient is great! For this price, the service is perfect and it is a good place for gathering. But for us the food isn't good enough. Every thing is too chewy, hard to bite off, even the octopu is too chewy. We're not going there again because the food isn't satisfying. Btw!! The cocktails isn't good either for this price!! If you like traditional Portuguese food, you can go :)
