I experienced kind and attentive service. I sat at an outdoor table with a wonderful ambiance. The dishes made me feel like I was having a fine dining experience. The main server recommended a local house wine, and it was also good. You should trust her recommendations.

I sat outside in a beautiful night across the street from another restaurant that had piano playing. How delightful. The service was impeccable as was the food. A wonderful experience.

Nice atmosphere , a classic and elegant dining room . We’ve visited this restaurant before , both when the former chef and the previous chef were working. The entrées tonight ( paté and burrata respectively) tasted good .4 p. For main course we took Royal Dove . The dove was cooked perfect. The dish was not enough balanced in salt sour sweet bitter, structure and colours . We think that the endives were too prominent and soft. We would hade liked more crisp and a some more fruity companion. 3,5 p Service -good . 4,5 points. We appreciated also the company of the restaurants dog! 4 points in total.

6.5/10Twas once my favourite restaurant in Nice. Today, it’s a tourist trap - the new faces that wait the tables don’t really understand the menu let alone give the right recommendations. I ended up with 2 starters and left the restaurant still hungry and disappointed. portion and quality of food has declined vs past visits. Maybe Twas 1 unfortunate visit vs 11 good ones, 🤷🏻♀️

10/10My wife and I returned to Franchin in May -24, after a wonderful experience last year. Both the kitchen and the waiters delivered the same high level this year too. The ambience is classic French and embracing. We enjoyed every minute.

We booked this restaurant 20 minutes before we arrived via The Fork as the heavens had opened! What a result! We have been in France for 10 days now and this has been our best experience to date! Fantastic food, service and the most beautiful environment. Fantastic lunch, would highly recommend.

8/10First of all, the staff denied that they get the changes from 2 to 4 persons and we have had real hard discussion about that. They ask us to go to next restaurant! Finally they organized our table. The restaurant well decorated, but a little bit noisy, and air conditioning was not working properly (too hot). The fish (sea bass) is over, so we took octopus (recommended), blue crab salad (too many mayonnaise) and vegetable salad with burrito. Final score- a little bit above moderate.

10/10Excellent little restaurant - fantastic food, superb service, and a great friendly atmosphere. Very rare to get this level of food without being overly fussy / stuck up. The restaurant’s jack russel Sky running around is a testament to that. 10/10 will definitely visit again.

10/10You couldn’t beat this lovely place! Warmly welcomed, table chosen, menus given, specials explained and all in the first five minutes so after that we could truly relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Our food choices came and at the first mouthful it was obvious there was a genius in charge. He was also front of house and the owner! Somehow, even with a sick waiter, the Boss calmly made sure everyone enjoyed the food and drinks. We can’t recommend this place more highly.

3.5/10We took a friend and reserved a table for 7 pm. Despite notifying them it’s for a BD dinner, they put us at to a table near the door, drafty and without a table cloth like all other ones and the restaurant was not even half full. Waited over 40 min to place an order and grocery store-bought quality baguette with no olive oil. Then had to wait another 45 min for the food to arrive. The pork chop and beef/lamb kabob were ok but the beef cheek was quite disappointing - greasy, looked not freshly prepared and a sauce of quite poor quality, obviously not with red wine! The best thing was the crepe Suzette! For what they charge, it was very disappointing. Don’t know how they got such good reviews. .

The first thing to rave about Franchin is its stunning belle époque decor, with its wrought iron, frosted glass, mirrors and marble pillars. The second was our wonderfully friendly waitress, who graciously accepted our fractured French, so much so that I tipped her true North American style. Third rave of course was the chef's superb treatment of octopus. It was my wife's eighty first birthday, and nothing celebrated this better than Franchin.

9/10Authentic French food at honest prices. Friendly and attentive team, the mascot puppy Sky is a sweetheart! 3rd visit for me and counting, it gets better each visit my fav are the mandatory escargots, beef cheeks and grilled octopus! Until the next visit. Keep sending us off with happy bellies!

3/10Huge disapointment with this restaurant. We have selected to dine in this place after looking at reviews and mainly the menu information on the the fork website. The price average for a main course was around 24 euros for an Entrecôte au roquefort but after arriving in the restaurant, the waiter offered us a Menu with a Rib Eye for 48 euros!!!! And the options available on the fork was not available at all, it means we were attracted by this offer, one of the reasons we selected this restaurant.
