After a long day of walking, we stumbled upon this literal hole in the wall. Although it only has seven tables, it was a really cool vibe and the food was unbelievable. We went two nights in a row, and it just continued to impress. Would highly recommend this and have seen several people say this is the best food in Rome, and I certainly couldn't disagree.

The food and wine was delicious! Such a nice hidden gem next to a wine shop. Was super close to our hotel. Similar to the other reviews, reservations are a must. We saw several folks be turned away without one.

Excellent food with authentic and high quality flavors. Very friendly and courteous staff. The server even helped us pick wine to buy from the wine store after dinner. Highly recommend if you’re looking for an authentic and family style Italian dinner. The only reason the review is not 10/10 is because the restaurant was very hot. We were sweating through dinner and it took away from the experience, but was overall still worth it. I believe the air conditioning was broken and this was not a typical experience.

The food was absolutely outstanding. One of, if not the best meals I’ve had in my time spent in Italy. Tables turn over more quickly than most Italian restaurants, but they need to as seating is very limited and demand is high.

I had an incredible experience at Fraschetteria in Rome! This cozy little spot is a hidden gem that truly captures the essence of authentic Roman cuisine. A hidden gem (which we booked), this sweet homely little restaurant - immediately charmed us with its quaint atmosphere. The food simply incredible, bursting with authentic flavour and quality. The prices affordable. Amazing food that could rival a Michelin star experience!

The salad called for mixed greens, green olives and croutons. Had very little croutons and not one single olive and very little oil. The food was very good and the waiter worked non stop serving all six tables. The desserts were excellent.

We have eaten here twice, months apart. Very small, compact cozy dining area. really good food comes out of tiny kitchen. Staff always helpful and pleasant. Also have a wine store next door that will give a 10% off if you have receipt from the meal!

the restaurant needs work. The plates were chipped out 1 cm pieces. Bathroom was beyond filth and door had no lock - actually didn’t close at all. Glasses for water were dirty upon bringing to table with green food particles on them. Makes the food less desirable.. but food was tasty and hot.

Very nice people and good food. Definitely for the tourists, though. This was exemplified by being prompted with suggested tip amounts when paying with a card— the only such time we encountered this in three months in Italy.

Everything about this Restaurant was memorable. The food was fantastic. We started by sharing the Carbonara (you have to have it in Rome) & a Caprese Salad. more than enough food for 2. Then we each had an order of Porchetta Arrosto and shared a side of Spinach Parmigiano. ALL of the food was amazing. The Carbonara pasta was surely homemade, the Pork melted in our mouths. For dessert we had Souffle Chocolate & Pistachio Cake & Tiramisu. Both were goof, but the Choc/Pistachio Cake was one of the best desserts I have ever had. There is one server, the restaurant can only seat about 18 people. He was very attentive and did a great job. The only downside of our dining experience was that some diners did not consider the size of the room and lower their voices accordingly (fellow Americans). Book a reservation in advance. Too small for walk-ins

The food here was the best we had in all of our italy travels. It was so good we came back 4 times. The vibe of the place was so perfect, and the staff so lovely. The food was exceptional, truly exceptional. If youre travelling around Rome please do yourself a favour and stop in. You won't regret it!

The food here is incredible. We bought wine in their wine shop next door & were able to drink it with our meal which was lovely. Very reasonably priced too for wine & the meal. Absolutely loved this restaurant. Only downside our table was booked for 7pm, we didn’t actually get seated until 7:30pm though. This wasn’t a massive issue, the man was lovely & got us a drink & seated us outside the wine shop next door. Pistachio tiramisu was unreal for dessert.

First dinner in Rome and it did not disappoint, it EXCEEDED expectations! This place is such a gem. My husband and I dined here with my sister and her husband, who have been in Rome for the past week. They agreed it was the best meal they’ve had in Rome. We will be back! Highlights: Caprese, Classico Board, Carbonara, Lasagna, Amatriciana

The food was amazing! We had the amatriciana, lasagna, caprese and arrosto. The best pasta and lasagna we’ve had in Rome so far! We also had both the traditional and the pistachio tiramisu for dessert, which were also really good.

Incredible food! Lovely place. Cosy. The radio was a bit loud but we were directly under it. Reservations are a must. Everything we ate was like food you might imagine would be in heaven. Inventive, flavourful, unbelievable. It’s not touristy at all, even if the area is peppered with such places. It’s a gem. A national SMS message was sent out and everyone’s phones went off. Italians! Absolutely perfect.
