When we arrived, the hostess was quite unfriendly. She immediately told us there was no availability without asking whether we had a reservation. After we mentioned that we did have a booking, she seated us at a table in the back room where the kitchen is instead of in the main dining area. The food was decent.

Attentive and considerate waitress. She was cute and had a lovely twinkle in her eyes. The food is lovely. It was quite cold though in the restaurant, as the wind kept creeping in.

The food is not really Italian. I doubt if there is an Italian cook in the kitchen. For instance the risotto is as if you are eating rice in thailand or vietnam. But also the starters are suffering from a lack of taste thus quality. The service is okay but not very client oriented. The presentation of the menu needs improvement, I don’t like dirty displays. Sorry for this, but you asked for my comment repeatedly and there I finally I did..

What can you say about a restaurant where the toilet is really not okay? What if the are a lot of insects are flying?

We were the first in the restaurant and where around the last to be served our main course it took over 30 minutes until we were asked if we wanted the bill and asked server for our mains. We were given a free drink and dessert but I couldn’t eat it due to having to go to an activity afterwards. Food was great but couldn’t really enjoy it after waiting so long.

Small Italian in the heart of Amsterdam. The serve great food with a warm smile and attention to detail. I will be making this a stop on all my future visits.

Lovely service and food, much improved from our previous visit. We had been coming here for years when it changed hands for the worst so we are glad to see friendly staff and nice food back on the menu. Thank you.

Server was disinterested. Had no clue about wines on menu when I asked about them. Ordered the penne burrata. Sauce tasted like it come from a jar. Really not good. Son had carbonara which was tasteless. Really poor effort all round. I suspect this place hides behind it's 'nice views'. Wouldn't recommend if your after true Italian cooking.

A lovely Italian place in a quiet corner. We were lucky to get a last second booking and we didn’t regret it at all. Super tasty!

What a wonderful little cafe/restaurant we stumbled across in our never-ending search to find tasty, affordable food in Amsterdam! Frenzi has a smallish menu, but everything we've tried has been delicious--so good the first night (black truffle pizza with a mellow Montepulciano) that we ate dinner there again the next night, making a reservation to make sure we didn't miss out on the special of the week, veal saltimbocca. Elizabeth, our server both nights, was extraordinary--great sense of humor and so attentive. She was also helpful with answering questions we had about A'dam. Frenzi is popular for its outdoor seating, most of it along a major canal, and for its intimate indoor dining space. Be sure to make a reservation after 6:00 though, especially if it's going to rain; it's popular!

This is a lovely little restaurant serving up great Italian food. Great atmosphere and we had a very nice and sociable waitress helping us. The location is good too in central Amsterdam and we would certainly go back there again. 👍👍

The overall ratings could be better if we were not feeling weird after eating there. Not one time but two times. It has good selection of tab beers, interesting menu, and tasty food. But I guess after having upset stomach twice I don't think I will come back again.

No red wine left, server forgot my spouse’s order until I was finished mine and was abrupt to point the next table remarked on it. Very expensive for what you get

Nice little restaurant serving very good Italian food. Between the four of us, no one was disappointed with any of the 6 different dishes we ordered. Lamb chop and carpaccio in particular very good, as was the apple cake!

We arrived and they told us the reservation was not valid. Great way to ruin an evening!

Weinig vegetarische gerechten. Risotto was te stijf.

The bruschetta had carrots in it. we stopped at the appetizers. it is next to a canal, but seating is across the street/sidewalk from the canal. Service was very nice.

Food was good as was the setting. We had a waiter who didn’t exactly overflow with enthusiasm or personality. If in Amsterdam again I would return

Great food,staff, ambient!

Despite it being extremely busy with opera visitors, the service was impeccable and the food well-timed. We go here for an impromptu lunch sometimes, nice spot with great views.
