4/10We expected more from this restaurant. The food was average and service not great. I had curry and this was very watery although it had good taste. My neice had the risotto and the fish taste was so strong she struggled with eating it, my husband had similar dish with pasta and said the same. (Both familiar and used to eating fish dishes) The best meal was the pork which my son had. This was cooked well and son said this was tasty .

10/10We had a lovely meal. Restaurant is modern and tastefully decorated. It’s set back slightly from the road in a lovely calm garden setting. A good menu and decent prices.

10/10The Garden is our fav restaurant in the area. Superb food and the owner is a fantastic host. W always eat there a couple of times on holiday and recently had a wonderful night on our wedding anniversary.

7.5/10Cannot fault the food at all, it was very good. Unfortunately it was let down by the service. There didn’t seem to be anyone with a derived role or responsibility for the table, we were visited by 4 staff members over the course of our visit. They got the food and drinks we ordered correctly but it was terribly slow and nobody seemed to know what their role was. It’s a real shame as the food was excellent, but on the basis of the service we wouldn’t return or recommend dining here unless you have the patience of Job.

6/10Food was pretty book, service very poor. We really couldnt get menus, order, order more wine, or get a check. We were just ignored. Sorry they are having such a hard time staffing the restaurant, but perhaps they should take fewer guests. There were three servers for like 30 tables an they just could not keep up.

10/10A warm welcome from Fabio, he was able to advise us on our food choice and we had the best steaks. The whole meal was lovely and beautifully presented, very good value. Then the live music from a duo just made it that much more special. The staff all work well and it's certainly a restaurant I would want to visit again.

10/10We enjoyed a delightful and flavorful meal at the Garden. The atmosphere was beautiful and the music was perfect. The food was delicious perfectly cooked, we enjoyed the filet, sea bass and risotto. The preparation of the orange carpaccio was unexpected but exceptional!

10/10We spoke about the Beiroa liquor and the owner brought us both a white port to taste. It was good but I still ordered a Beiroa as an after dinner drink. The entire Garden experience was top notch. We ended up with a wine cooler courtesy of the owner. Great host and we highly recommend trying the Garden restaurant.

10/10This was the best restaurant we ate at in Carvoierio. Maybe a bit more toward American fine dining than European, but fresh, simple preparations, friendly and knowledgeable service, and a well thought out space. A great meal.

Fabio always makes us feel welcome. The food is fantastic and he always pairs the most wonderful wine for me. The restaurant is cozy and has a warm ambience in winter. Definitely the best restaurant in Carvoerio

10/10The owner at this restaurant is a great host. He greeted us on arrival, gave us a choice of seating, made excellent recommendations for drinks, wine, dinner and dessert. It was our favourite night out in Carvoeiro. Highly recommend it.

8/10Service was great, everyone was really friendly and knowledgeable, although I was promised a flyer about regional vineyards which I left without. Food was lush. We visited late October and there was a definite chill in the air. Our meals would have been even better if they had been served on hot platters and our plates had been hot too. Overall a good restaurant that could be fantastic with a couple of tweaks. We all had a really great evening, thank you.

8/10Lovely place with live music which really added to the ambience of the restaurant. Our server was extremely professional & friendly however service & food could have been slightly quicker. Our booking was 8pm we received our food at 9.30 pm

First of all, thank you for your visit and review! Regarding the delays on the service, it is a fact that everyone is struggling for manpower, this is an issue in every activities, not just in restaurants and hospitality! And considering the informations from our guests from several areas of the globe, not just in Portugal and the less in Carvoeiro! Regarding our business, we are trying to change this situation! One of the possibilities would be changing our menu! But we truly believe that everyone prefers to have more elaborated and different traditional Portuguese food! Another option is to limit the number of guests, which is something that we are already doing! Thank you

Wonderful live music, great venue with beautiful furniture and great decor overall. Each of the people who work there are smiley, positive and pleasant, I just deducted one star because our table were out of drinks and food a couple of times and it took a long while for them to notice. I had the octopus which with the grilled aubergine was excellent. The dessert was a nice, wobbly panna cotta with raspberry coulis and a toucinho do ceu, almond cake which my fiance said was one of the best desserts she'd ever tasted.

9/10This was a very pleasant dining experience. Good food with live music to entertain which had the right level to be enjoyable but not conversation stifling! Service a little off but they were a couple of staff down and why rush anyway - we are on holiday! We would certainly go again.

4.5/10The waiter was very nice and helpful but I think they were short staffed that evening and service was very slow. Waited 2 hrs for our main meals which I can live with if they were attentive with drinks but I had to go looking for the waiter to request more. When the food came it was lukewarm at best and pretty bland. Nice ambience with a good solo act playing music but all in all it was bang average and disappointing.

The service throughout the evening was first class, the food superb and exceeded our expectations and the ambiance, location and setting, including the singer was outstanding. Our favourite restaurant during our stay in Carvoeiro. We will be back!
