On arrival we were presented with menus and at the top under the cover charge: seemed to be options. Sourdough bread, then focaccia bread etc. Next thing the waiter turned up with some sourdough bread. We said we hadn’t decided which bread and what was it. He said bread for 5. We said we only want 3 and 2 of the focaccia bread please. After 15 more minutes he then came back with 2 pieces of bread, we said it’s for 3. Off he went and came back with basically 2 pieces of bread cut in half and a tiny off cut. I said what on earth is that for 3 people at 9 Euros? His attitude was a joke. Firstly it’s a bit of bread. He could and should have left the original 5 pieces and just charged for 3. No big deal. They made such a thing over this we almost walked out. I I asked a waitress a question, she said I don’t know I’ll ask somebody else! And I’m not talking about the lovely waitress whose first ever night it was. The good was ok. The service is. First impressions count. I won’t be back

Went there a few days in the last couple of weeks. It usually takes a long time to get the food but this last time was better. Maybe because it has less people and take away orders. Overall, food is okay.

Six of us ate, starters, mains and accompanying drinks and we all thoroughly enjoyed every dish. It is next to a main road but it’s very cleverly designed and you don’t notice it nor are you affected by it. The quality of the food was excellent, the staff attentive professional and genuine, Honestly we were super impressed and will deffo return. We were cajoled into going to Bamboo restaurant last week in VDL and it was frankly rubbish - Genko restored our faith in quality food, genuine staff and value for money. Bill was about €300 but very very worth it.. my advice is simple …… go !!!

Excellent evening at Genco from start to finish. Friendly greeting and offered a choice of tables - a lovely touch. Food was great and served in a well paced but unhurried fashion. Very enjoyable - thank you to all at Genco.
