10/10It was both my husband’s birthday and mine and we chose Gilo because we like the menu and ambiance. They did not disappoint! Dinner was lovely and the staff made our evening very special. Highly recommend if you’re in Florence and looking for a romantic dinner.

10/10All the dishes we had were delicious and high quality. The waiters were personable and professional. The ambience of the restaurant was elegant, but not stuffy. It’s very close to Piazza di Santa Maria Novella. Many locals were dining the night we were there. We are glad we dined at this wonderful restaurant!

10/10Enjoyable experience in this quaint restaurant. Appreciated them calling in advance with cooler weather and asking if we would like to eat inside or outside patio. Service was excellent as was the food. Shared the Steak Florentine and it was excellent.

5.5/10Although it was very quiet, the service was very slow. The food was okay but not special. There were certain pleasant touches which indicated a better restaurant than we experienced.

10/10Our food experience in Florence was hit or miss. Gilo was definitely a hit, and what we expected food to taste like! The artichoke soufflé was really good - wanted to try something different. The gnocchi was melt in your mouth and the osso bucco was the best we've had. Presentation was amazing.

10/10It was our 40th wedding anniversary & when we sat down our server brought us a glass of 🥂 bubbles, the food was superb & the service just as good, as early dinners we had 20% off the bill, highly recommend 5*+ thank you 👍

10/10We arrived with a warm welcome and enjoyed a wonderful dinner, salmon, steak cooked to perfection and the veal was excellent as well. Nice size garden salad we split.The staff was attentive and allowed us time to visit our friends who happen to be in Florence at the same time. 10/10We had an excellent dining experience at Gilo Ristorante. We had a group of 12 and were very well taken care of. The Chianti was excellent as were our starters of burrata and caprese. We had a variety of pastas and secondi and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The osso bucco was a particular hit! Very attentive and friendly service, we were very pleased!

10/10Our second visit and just as memorable as the first. Amazing food 100% across the board, and the service is extraordinary. We convinced a few other couples to give Gilo a try and I am quite sure they were as happy as we were, as at least one returned the same night we did! Please go and enjoy an evening with Gilo, you will NOT regret it. I wish we could extend our stay to work our way through the entire menu! We had the wild boar pasta (amazing, better than any other we had in town), artichoke rissoto, lamb, salmon, beef stew, sirloin and arugula salad, caprese, crostini toscani, and it was all, every bit, perfect.

10/10Our final meal of our vacation was at Gilò. The waiter was fantastic - knowledgeable and friendly and helped us with recommendations. We had delicious pastas (including Pici pasta with truffles), a great beef fillet, wonderful glasses of Brunello and cantucci with vin santo to finish off. A great great meal.

7/10Wanted the 1kg T-bone but the restaurant gave us 1.5kg. Was advised to take Medium done. The meat turned out to be very tough and it can hardly be chewed. I spit the meat out more than I can swallow. Couldn't finish the meat and gotta packed the remaining "half". It shows how bad it is.. Overall bad experience, price not cheap and it's over-rating. Will not come back.
