10/10We dined here based on on-line recommendations. Honestly, everything was 10 out 10. So good! The atmosphere, the staff were amazing, Iuli and Loren especially, and the food was divine. Highly recommend. Good location too near the station and many attractions.

10/10Best meal we had in Italy! The service, ambience sitting outside and the food was all exceptional! The wine bottle lamps on the table contributed to the cozy ambience. Everything truffle that we had was so delicious- the appetizer puffs and truffle pasta. Tasted Michelin star level! Great wine selection also. And our total for an app, 2 dinners and a nice bottle of wine was 100 euros.

7.5/10This is a charming little restaurant. The food we had was really good. I had to not give 5 stars bc I had a very disappointing issue with allergens in what I ordered. I told them I was celiac and make sure to communicate and choose items marked as GF but the filet that did not say it contained 1 (gluten) came out with bread on the plate touching the steak. They were gracious and offered to make another but I didn’t feel safe eating it. They were very kind. For my family without celiac- they had a lovely meal! So I can suggest going here only if you don’t have to deal with food allergies like me.

6.5/10The food and service were very good. The only problem was with the bill. I reserved through The Fork and was supposed to get a 20% discount. When I told the waiter he took the bill back and applied the discount. Also their credit card terminal has a 10%,15%,or 20% tip choice which I have not seen in Italy.

8/10This is a beautiful restaurant - great for a romantic date with its Gatsby vibes. Staff was personable, helpful and timed things well. Food presentation was lovely. We had the artichoke soufflé w/pecorino fondue and it was a bit bland for our taste. Their bread was good. We also had the gnocchi with burrata cream - it was good but could benefit from more burrata. Next we had the lamb and it was cooked well but had an unusual aftertaste. Finally we had the panna cotta with red fruits and it was good but not great. We did appreciate that we were able to make a reservation.

6.5/10Did not live up to the ratings we saw on Trip Advisor and Google. The Red wine the waiter recommended was warm and had to be put on ice. Service was good and friendly. Food was just OK for the price paid.

10/10The food was amazing,especially the pasta with boar ragu and the lasagna! The white chocolate mousse with fruit was also exceptional. Service was impeccable and the restaurant is modernly beautiful with lovely background music. Enjoyed this beautiful evening.

9.5/10Small, unpretencious restaurant with very good food. We elected to sit outside even though it is a busy street with lots of car traffic, but that was our preference. Within walking distance of our hotel on Arno, Highly recommend!

10/10Before we were even through the door, my wife and I were greeted by the owner and one of the waiters! They seated us immediately at a nice table for two right by the front window. We were serviced throughout the evening by three gentlemen, all of whom were attentive and friendly, plus spoke English plenty well enough for easy interactions. We had a nice bottle of wine and a wonderful and delicious meal. Our pastas were flavorful and cooked perfectly. We also ordered the filet of beef, which was tender and juicy. Although we were stuffed, we splurged and ordered the chocolate lava cake with ice cream - awesome! Our evening was the best meal experience we had in our 4 days in Florence. We highly recommend Gilo Ristorante when in Florence!!

5/10This place got a lot of great ratings so i was excited to try it. And at first it was ok but the manager was kind of agressive in asking people to come in which was very awkward to watch. The wait staff was actually really sweet until we didn’t order the most expensive wines they recommended. The food was just ok and even though the outdoor seating is slightly terrifying with large fast cars and buses just inches behind me, we were charged extra to sit out there. Honestly given the manager and cars - it would have been so much better indoors. I’ve been told a lot of places pay for reviews and I’m guessing this one is no different.

And I'm sorry that I disturbed you while I was explaining the menu to other customers, but so far no one has complained about my work, in fact many customers return to us. 8/10The atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely, and the service was excellent—truly top notch. My girlfriend ordered the mushroom pasta, which unfortunately didn’t live up to our expectations. On the other hand, my steak was quite good and cooked perfectly. A quick tip for anyone ordering steak in Florence: they don’t typically salt the meat before cooking, as they prefer to let the natural flavor of the beef shine without any enhancers. Similarly, the bread is traditionally unsalted, which may not be to everyone’s taste. Overall, a pleasant dining experience with a few regional quirks to keep in mind.

6.5/10Our first dinner in Florence and our least favorite by far. Our server was very serious, didn’t smile. The food was just okay. While Tuscan bread is not flavorful as a rule, this was the worst Tuscan bread we had in Italy. It disintegrated into crumbs and then turned into mush when we tried to eat it with food. One other staff person in the restaurant did smile, but it wasn’t a particularly warm or delightful experience. The staff is young and works hard; we just don’t understand the multitude of 10* reviews.

9.5/10We arrived early in the evening and enjoyed a wonderful fillet steak and florentine stew. The grilled vegetables and roast potatoes were delicious. As it was early there were few other diners but the place developed ambiance as more people arrived. Staff were attentive and thoughtful.
