I had the veal. It was pretty gray in color and just ok. We've been traveling for a couple of weeks and it was not our most memorable.

The food was amazing, great service, prices OK but the table outside was very small, big enough for 3 small plates. AMAZING FOOD THOUGH

Lovely evening at restaurant Gilo. Food was sublime and service amazing. Made our children feel special and even taught me how to eat Tuscan biscuits and vin santo. Thank you guys would recommend without hesitation.

The restaurant is smart with a very relaxed atmosphere. The service was very good and the staff very attentive. The food and wine we chose were excellent, very delicious.

I had the paccheri with boar ragu and my wife had casio pepe. We split a florentine steak. Make sure you like your meat rare or specify you want it medium well. We did medium and it was rare or at best medium rare. But it was beautiful piece of meat and delicious and the pasta was great

Absolutely delicious food, fillet cooked perfectly, tiramisu was spot on. Service exceptional, very attentive - get away from the tourist traps and come here!!

Modern interior restaurant, staff were friendly and polite, food was also tasty. However slightly overpriced if you didn’t get a discount through the fork as the portions aren’t the largest and the main courses don’t come with anything I.e the beef stew was just beef and nothing else (veg or potatoes) so you’d need to add on if you haven’t done starters or first courses. But other than that it was an enjoyable experience.

+2Great choice close to our hotel. Welcoming team as we arrived. Standard Tuscan menu but the food quality was excellent. Wine choice good. Would recommend. They automatically honoured the discount from Fork.

We dined here based on on-line recommendations. Honestly, everything was 10 out 10. So good! The atmosphere, the staff were amazing, Iuli and Loren especially, and the food was divine. Highly recommend. Good location too near the station and many attractions.

Best meal we had in Italy! The service, ambience sitting outside and the food was all exceptional! The wine bottle lamps on the table contributed to the cozy ambience. Everything truffle that we had was so delicious- the appetizer puffs and truffle pasta. Tasted Michelin star level! Great wine selection also. And our total for an app, 2 dinners and a nice bottle of wine was 100 euros.

This is a charming little restaurant. The food we had was really good. I had to not give 5 stars bc I had a very disappointing issue with allergens in what I ordered. I told them I was celiac and make sure to communicate and choose items marked as GF but the filet that did not say it contained 1 (gluten) came out with bread on the plate touching the steak. They were gracious and offered to make another but I didn’t feel safe eating it. They were very kind. For my family without celiac- they had a lovely meal! So I can suggest going here only if you don’t have to deal with food allergies like me.

Food was nice... too bad that the restaurant AC was not strong enough to beat Florence hot weather. We purposely chose to have indoor dining but the heat made me uncomfortable

The food and service were very good. The only problem was with the bill. I reserved through The Fork and was supposed to get a 20% discount. When I told the waiter he took the bill back and applied the discount. Also their credit card terminal has a 10%,15%,or 20% tip choice which I have not seen in Italy.

This is a beautiful restaurant - great for a romantic date with its Gatsby vibes. Staff was personable, helpful and timed things well. Food presentation was lovely. We had the artichoke soufflé w/pecorino fondue and it was a bit bland for our taste. Their bread was good. We also had the gnocchi with burrata cream - it was good but could benefit from more burrata. Next we had the lamb and it was cooked well but had an unusual aftertaste. Finally we had the panna cotta with red fruits and it was good but not great. We did appreciate that we were able to make a reservation.

Did not live up to the ratings we saw on Trip Advisor and Google. The Red wine the waiter recommended was warm and had to be put on ice. Service was good and friendly. Food was just OK for the price paid.

Good food, exceptional service and great dessert!

The food was amazing,especially the pasta with boar ragu and the lasagna! The white chocolate mousse with fruit was also exceptional. Service was impeccable and the restaurant is modernly beautiful with lovely background music. Enjoyed this beautiful evening.

Small, unpretencious restaurant with very good food. We elected to sit outside even though it is a busy street with lots of car traffic, but that was our preference. Within walking distance of our hotel on Arno, Highly recommend!

Before we were even through the door, my wife and I were greeted by the owner and one of the waiters! They seated us immediately at a nice table for two right by the front window. We were serviced throughout the evening by three gentlemen, all of whom were attentive and friendly, plus spoke English plenty well enough for easy interactions. We had a nice bottle of wine and a wonderful and delicious meal. Our pastas were flavorful and cooked perfectly. We also ordered the filet of beef, which was tender and juicy. Although we were stuffed, we splurged and ordered the chocolate lava cake with ice cream - awesome! Our evening was the best meal experience we had in our 4 days in Florence. We highly recommend Gilo Ristorante when in Florence!!

Very nice subdued atmosphere, a nice way to unwind. The waiters were very attentive and the food was delightful - warning the portions are large!
