A pleasant restaurant with good, prompt service. We started with the bread and dips and they were very nice. The two small loaves looked as if they could be tough but they were surprisingly soft and tasty and the dips were mild flavoured and tasty. The olives were good. I had Frisian stew and my wife had fish and chips. The stew was tasty and I couldn’t work out whether the red cabbage was mixed in with the stew or the mashed potato but it was tasty. It also came with a separate dish of cold apple sauce which was odd but was tasty and we both ate it as it was a refreshing alternative, especially the salty fish. The fish dish was too big to consume and it came with an extra dish of pleasant chips which we picked at. We were too full to consider dessert and only had a large bottle of cold water to help wash it down. Beware, there is a camera taking pictures of cars entering the street where there are road works going on. We may have got a ticket for entering. There is a garage nearby..

It took them over 1,5h to bring us food and then it was just much more than we had ordered. The food was good but overall it wasn’t a nice evening. I wouldn’t go back.
