10/10We had a great time last night at Grapes and Bites. It was recommended by a friend. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive, recommending some good choices for dinner. There were two large groups sitting in the middle of the restaurant, and a singer playing popular guitar music at the front. Our food was very good. Make sure to book a reservation since it is not a large place and quite popular.

10/10We were a group of 9 coworkers and we had made last minute reservations here for dinner. We had a great time, everything was perfect: food, drinks, ambience, service, and the live music was very special. The restaurant is also very well situated, we were even able our drinks outside and share some good moments. I think we’ll all remember the night we had today at Grapes and Bites. Thanks from our team to yours💛

9.5/10Tasty well put together and prepared meal. The best i have had in Lisbon and a delight to find a menu that is different in a relaxed atmosphere. We had a great singer for background music. Wine waiter was helpful with their wide selection of Portuguese wines on offer. Good characterful location to visit.

9/10Warm, cozy wine bar on a cute street in central Lisbon. Fantastic wine list and a wide assortment of starters (a great cheese and meat plate) and dishes. If you prefer more traditional cuisine, this may not be the place for you.

7/10We had a booking at 10:30 for a group of 13 people. The table was ready by 11:00, and the waiter told us we should leave the restaurant by 11:40 without having desert. The whole experience was spoiled by the fact that we were kicked out of the restaurant with plastic cups for the wine and beers. Despite of the rush, the food was tasty but low in quantity.

10/10Nice ambiance , if you are looking for nice easy going place in Bairro Alto, live music, good wine selection and very good choices to eat something light to acompany your wine. Tending is superb and multilingual.

10/10Brilliant restaurant and wine house. Massive selection of wines from affordable to €1000+. No pressure to spend big. Although the 40 year old tawny port is well worth €17 a glass. Fabulous place.

8/10Very nice place with live music (solo guitarist) but the menu lacks choice in my view.I recommended the garlic prawns they were very good. A little bit pricey but the staff were very friendly.

8/10Very nice food, although personally I did not enjoy the saviche. The dishes were in my opinion not worth the cost even though it is, as I said good food. Very nice service and great atmosphere, very cozy and heartworming

9/10We really enjoyed our dinner here. The food was delicious and well served. The wine selection and suggestions were great, a big compliment to the experienced staff. The vibes were great with wine bottles all over and live music played by an excellent guitarist. Cozy and informal atmosphere to enjoy your time even more. Overall, highly recommended.

4.5/10Poor menu for main courses, if you are looking for an expensive wine bar is ok. Very crowded, each table close to the other, very noisy. Good quality food but expensive taking into consideration the atmosphere.

9.5/10My expertise in wine is close to 0, so basically no clue where to start; my wife is stronger, but still appreciates recommendations. The suggestions we received were delicious and went beautifully with the meal, which was in itself really good. Staff was a pleasure to interact with throughout. The only ding was the volume of the guitar player could have been a tad lower. Would that stop my going again or highly recommending Grapes & Bites? Not at all. Go! Definitely go!

10/10I'm a sommelier and wanted to taste wines that are hard to find in the US.. Roberto made suggestions that were spot on. We split four glasses of wine and great charcuterie and our bill was 61 Euros. A wonderful experience.

10/10+2Grapes & Bites is a nice little restaurant located in the Bairro Alto in Lisbon. Great location, great vibes too… Pedestrian area. Crowd mostly international. The food is “Tapas” style, even so the portions are generous, and they have a good variety on the menu. Huge wine selection to pair with the dishes and the waiters are quite knowledgeable and gave excellent suggestions on wine-paring We were there on a Thursday night, they had live music, a great singer accompanying herself on the guitar. Easy listening music, good sound level, able to have a conversation without having to shout over the music which is a bonus… Will go back…

10/10In every country we visit I like to find a small place that provides under the radar amazing food and wine and this was it for Lisbon for us, for sure. The owner gave us an amazing an introduction to wines of different territories. He almost got excited and felt challenged every time we asked him to recommend certain wines. The food accompanied was delicate and very yummy also. The Cod fritters were phenomenal!!

10/10It was early evening when I was there so the restaurant was quiet. However, the guitarist and singer certainly added to the atmosphere. I had a selection of tapas all of which were very good - beef strips, prawns in garlic and cod fritters. To finish I had the chocolate cake which was served with ice cream and was delicious.

10/10I went on a date and had a phenomenal time. The waiter was soo happy to help us and gave us great tips on what to order. All the food we ordered was absolutely delicious but our favorite was the Tuna ceviche, it was incredible. In addition there was live music and the performer was incredible! 10/10 would recommend!

9.5/10This wine bar is a really fun place. Our server introduced us to some new wines from several regions in Portugal both North and South and all of them were very good. The guitar player had the 40 or so guests rocking on the Saturday night that we went. Food was really tasty as well. I would definitely recommend this place. Make sure to make a reservation ahead.

10/10We had two layovers in Lisbon on our way to and from Madeira. On our first night we stumbled on Grapes & Bites by accident, but this time we definitely set out to find it again and waited 2 hrs for them to open. Ricardo and his colleagues took excellent care of us. Everything we tried on both visits was very tasty, but the pica-pau is worth an extra mention. And ooh, those Portuguese wines that Ricardo offfered us! We were a bit sad to leave sunny Madeira a bit early due to the Stormy weather forecasts, but Ricardo & co more than made up for it. Grapes & Bites Lisboa was the perfect ending to our lovely holiday week!

6/10We knew there could be live music at this place, even though we normally would bot want that with dinner. The reviews sounded like the food was really good so we thought that would compensate. I asked for a table far away from the music but the waitress asked us to sit right next to him, but she found us another table when we told her that we did not want to sit right next to the musician. But the food was average. The pimientos padron were listed on the menu as stuffed but instead had melted cheese on top. The sardine filets were on top of corn bread which we found a bit too heavy and dry. The sardine mousse was very tasty, so I would recommend that. The wine that the waiter recommended was very good. This restaurant was not for us. It might please guests who like to dine to live music by bands like Cold Play. I’m actually a fan of the band but prefer to listen to them elsewhere, not at dinner in a Lisbon restaurant.
