From start to finish this was an exceptional meal! The service was impeccable. We opted for the house menu but with the premier wine pairing. The wines were both delicious and interesting, focused on French and Portuguese varietals, and many we had not heard of before. Each course was incredibly balanced, rich and creamy, savory and fresh presented beautifully. This was a memorable experience well worth the cost.

The food and service was unbelievable. I’m 62 and this was perhaps the greatest dining experience of my life. Bravo to the staff!

+6Service was amazing! Wish a cleansing towel was given to start. I got one after the first dish which I had to eat with my hand. Otherwise everything was amazing!

Very high quality experience. The starters and the desserts were out of this world. All delicious and perfectly prepared. Great service as well. Only one note, it was cold inside. The waiters brought in a plastic warm wind heater. I was not expecting that from a Michelin starred restaurant. That should be improved.

Small portions even for a Michelin. Wine measures super small. Not good value. Food was pretty standard. Could not understand the waiting staff.

We did the wine pairing which made it extra special. I had a view into the kitchen and enjoyed all the activity. Expensive and worth it for a special occasion.

The food and wine pairings were absolutely outstanding. I subtracted one star for a couple of courses that took a long time to arrive, and also took off one point for ambience because the little room we were seated in was quite austere. However, don't let either of these small points put you off if you are looking for a great dinning experience. If we return to Lisbon, we will return to Granache.

I found the food a bit hit and miss. A number of the dishes were a bit too intense (acidic or salty) in their flavours, i. e. ‘brash’. Others were underwhelming in their flavour combinations. On the other hand, I usually find the meat dishes of tasting menus the dullest of the meal and Grenache’s wagyu beef was delicious. The service was efficient and friendly, but I did have to grab the water bottle a couple of times myself to refill. The seating was outdoors (summer) in lovely surroundings, but on a through street, which meant if you were seated close to it, you constantly had to witness parades of tourists lumbering past. We had actually moved there from the original table because it was right next to a speaker playing music that was a bit too loud (and clubby) for our taste, although that is the bane of most restaurants these days. They attempt to create atmosphere through music, instead of just letting the quiet din of dining guests set the tone.

The service was absolutely incredible. The front of house team were a magical compliment to one another. The chef and the kitchen staff prepared an absolutely delicious illustration of Portugal and the wine pairings were so perfect that it is difficult to put words to how incredibly satisfying our dining experience truly was. A genuine and absolute heartfelt thank you to the entire team for a truly excellent evening.

The food was fantastic delicious and well-balanced, the staff incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and service-minded, and the venue very charming. Therefore, we give Grenache a top rating and thank you for an unforgettable evening.

We chose the Grenache menu with the wine pairing (and I had the cheese plate - so good!). All meals were excellent and the wines were well selected to go with the food. The staff was highly professional, answering our questions, speaking 3 languages fluently, it was a very enjoyable moment and I think the 1 star Michelin is really well deserved.

We had a wonderful evening at Grenache. The food was orininal en tasted amazing. The staff was very friendly, spoke English well and gave a good explanation with every course.

The cuisine and the service are exceptional. A true culinary experience with an explosion of tastes at every bite. We were settled on the terrasse and the cold evening of May, despite the blankets, was the only negative point.

Exquisitely prepared fine food in an elegant understated setting. We had a choice of seating and deliberately picked a table with a view of the kitchen. Very much enjoyed observing the effort to bring the diners a wonderful experience, from the chefs finishing the plating to the wait staff coordinating their effort to bring the dishes to the table in sync. This was our last night of a four week stay in Portugal and Grenache was one of our better dining experiences. Would certainly return if we're back in Portugal and would not hesitate to recommend Grenache to anyone visiting Lisbon.
