9.5/10Amazing, had plenty of discovery and unexpected chords, my personal favorite was the maquerell and the wagyu but all the courses had a specific interest. Great bread, dessert, and service overall. Even if hard to find, if we had suggestion for improvement, it would be to avoid having so many different people serving the table, I think we had 4 different person to bring us our plates. But still that would be peaky, because the service was still great. Thank you for the experience.

10/10The restaurant was outstanding and one of the best restaurant experiences we have had in our lives. We felt so taken care of by the staff and the wine recommendations/pairings were perfect with the food. The tasting menu blew us away with the presentation and flavors from the bread to the desserts. We enjoyed that it was a mix of Portuguese and French food and you could tell the chef put a lot of thought and love into the dishes. As my husband left, he said that he would fly back to Lisbon just to eat at Grenache again.

7.5/10Location difficult to find but once there it became enchanted . Food presentation was exquisite but the flavor didnot match the beauty. Service was very good very attentive and accommodating. Sergio and the waiters were there to make ur night magical . Prices was steep for the food quality .

7.5/10While the food was great, we had an odd experience at Grenache. There was a table sitting directly next to us that had been way over served causing commotion amongst the entire restaurant. Normally, I would say who cares, however with the amount of money being spent here and just the general level of fine dining, I would expect the restaurant to step in. One man threw up at the table. One man barged loudly into the bathroom while I was in there frightening me. Secondly, the wine pours were absolutely not reasonable for $100. I’ve done countless tasting menus and I’ve never had a <1oz pour for each. It was comical how much wine was poured in the glass. The restaurant did apologize for the man’s behavior in the bathroom, but no consolation was made. Some extra (erh, normal amount) wine or a drink on the house would have gone far. It’s a shame because the food was incredible but the experience was ruined.

8.5/10I found the food to be quite excellent. I am not a fan of beets or foie gras so that particular dish was not favorable to me but otherwise, I was quite pleased with the meal. If I am not picking, I prefer my tortellini to be more well done and they were just barely al dente, but again, that is very specific. I found the servers to be wonderful and the general service to excellent. The restaurant wasn’t super busy but the few staff handled it well. Seeing into the kitchen was a nice touch. The atmosphere was great and the wine pairing was worth it. I would go back.

7/10Good restaurant. Good ambiance. Good food. Some of the courses are not up to the level. At the end we received a course what looked like sugared peanuts, Nutella, and browny in pieces. It’s ok for some people, but not for $350 dinner for two. Peanuts, brownies, and Nutella are the cheapest and the least interesting dessert choices. Not talking that the taste wasn’t good at all. Than we had a course with tortellini. They said it was with langoustine. It tasted like rice to us. We tried a lot of very expensive restaurants. It’s about the money. It just felt like either they try to fool us, or the chef doesn’t have enough experience for this job.

All our product are carefully sourced and prepared with different techniques, we would not use Nutella or anything of the kind. The langoustine ravioli is one of our signature dish, it is and has always been very much enjoyed by all our guest. 10/10My husband and I visited from Canada and are so happy we made a reservation at Grenache. The amaretto sour was a perfect drink to begin our multi-course meal with and complimented the initial dishes perfectly. We chose the Experience Menu and cannot recommend it enough! Each dish we had was seemingly better than the last, though a few days later we still find ourselves thinking about the veal tartare, cured amberjack, and wagyu beef. The staff was also amazing - so knowledgeable, attentive and kind. Truly the best meal we’ve ever had!

10/10We went here for dinner with my husband,while on a weekend trip in Lisbon. We were impressed with the food and the service. The restaurant is in Alfama and has a lovely courtyard. I imagine lunch outside in the courtyard would have been perfect. The location itself is good, and perfect for a romantic dinner, as is the ambience. We chose a tasting menu and everything in the menu was exquisite. Flavors were amazing, presentation was flawless. Service was top notch. I will visit Grenache again when I am in Lisbon.

8/10Attended for the New Year’s Eve celebration meal - service good especially explanation of the wines by Sergio. We were in a room separated from the main restaurant which was quiet and relatively sparsely decorated so the evening lacked a little atmosphere. The food was good not reaching 1 Michelin star yet but heading there - a nice touch was the complementary madeleine and marshmallow to take away. It was expensive but it was New Year Eve so a premium has to be paid I guess.

10/10Booked a reservation at Grenache to celebrate my birthday with my husband. We had such a great experience and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the service. We opted for the Grenache menu over the Experience menu and found it to be more than filling. The flavors and presentation were excellent and the staff were all friendly and professional. Highly recommend this restaurant!

10/10I stumbled upon this restaurant quite by accident while exploring the neighborhood by my Airbnb in the Castelo de São Jorge region. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and provided information on each course as they brought it out. I decided to go with the Menu Experience and was very happy with everything. As an added bonus, depending on where you’re sitting, you can see Chef Philippe Gelfi and his staff preparing each course in the kitchen before being brought to your table. I had a wonderful time!

9.5/10The courtyard of a castle couldn’t be a better backdrop for dinner in Lisbon…especially when that castle was built in the 12th century. And with the exquisitely conceived and plated creations of the chef and superlatively trained staff, the evening was almost perfect. (Instead of dining outside, the rain forced us into a smaller dining room, which was well appointed, but couldn’t compare with the courtyard.) The highlights of the dinner in a tasting menu which changes frequently, were sublime; the anchovy butter with the homemade bread was simple and delicious. The sorbet was an explosion of raspberry that had the diner wondering where all the raspberries were. The turbot, lamb and sauces were excellent and sophisticated. Just go! ????
