We are very satisfied with our 9-course dinner paired with an excellent wine menu. The food was fantastic delicious and well-balanced, the staff incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and service-minded, and the venue very charming. Therefore, we give Grenache a top rating and thank you for an unforgettable evening.

We chose the Grenache menu with the wine pairing (and I had the cheese plate - so good!). All meals were excellent and the wines were well selected to go with the food. The staff was highly professional, answering our questions, speaking 3 languages fluently, it was a very enjoyable moment and I think the 1 star Michelin is really well deserved.

Exceptional in every way! Every bite perfectly plated with layers of flavors for the eye and palette! One of the best dining experiences I have had anywhere in this world. Chef Gelfi and his team are to be commended; and not missed.

The cuisine and the service are exceptional. A true culinary experience with an explosion of tastes at every bite. We were settled on the terrasse and the cold evening of May, despite the blankets, was the only negative point.

Exquisitely prepared fine food in an elegant understated setting. We had a choice of seating and deliberately picked a table with a view of the kitchen. Very much enjoyed observing the effort to bring the diners a wonderful experience, from the chefs finishing the plating to the wait staff coordinating their effort to bring the dishes to the table in sync. This was our last night of a four week stay in Portugal and Grenache was one of our better dining experiences. Would certainly return if we're back in Portugal and would not hesitate to recommend Grenache to anyone visiting Lisbon.

Spent our last evening in Lisbon here and what a treat. The service was excellent, the passion for the food and wine from everyone was incredible. The open kitchen was a joy to watch, the chefs attention to detail was incredible and the flavours were just perfect. A brilliant way to finish our trip.

The flavours, textures and presentation of the 6 course Grenache taster menu was outstanding. The service was equally fabulous as was the ambience of the restaurant beneath Castelo Sao Jorge. We’ll return when next in Lisbon.

Loved the location nearby the castle. Increadible food, great service and attention to details. A an exampole, the to-go madeleines at the end were unique, thoughful and surprising. We look forward to comeback soon.

The pairing of the food with the perfect wine was absolutely an experience I will remember forever. Exceptionally delicious and intricately prepared by the Chef 👨‍🍳! Having this first time experience in a non pretentious setting with every staff member being helpful was a delight. Even though we were not able to eat one of the appetizers due to our religious stand against eating blood, the staff offered to replace it with something we were able to eat. We appreciated that thoughtfulness. And it was wonderful. Of course it was pricey, but a special meal like that is to remember forever.

A lovely intimate location in Alfama a short walk beyond where the Uber is allowed to drop you. The kitchen tried hard at the model of a tasting menu. The portions were well measured. The food was pleasant but below what an experienced diner would consider high-level Michelin star imaginative. At 135Euro it is not that good a value compared to other venues in Lisbon. Give them a few years. There is a kernel there that may germinate.
