perfect fondue, as the moite-moite. the service was fantastic and the interior was classic swiss, which is just right when visiting this area :-)

It took at least half an hour for any worker to visit our area of the restaurant, despite having booked a table well in advance. It was pleasant to sit out in the garden area, but it took a very long time to get our food even after the long wait for a menu and to order. The wrong drinks were brought to us, but the staff fixed that problem after we told them. There was a fondue lamp that we wanted to turn out, but we and the staff weren't able to turn it off, so they brought it back to their kitchen and returned it (and the uneaten food) to us. A very large pile of dishes was sitting on a table just inside the door, so I assume they were very understaffed. I would go again, but maybe not during busy tourist season.

This is one of several restaurants inside the marvellous village of Gruyeres. I have been to 5 other in this street. The food is good: the fondue was great, the chicken nuggets (children) were great, the raclette was average. The ambiance is nice. The service is very slow probably because it is understaffed probably on week ends. It is generally slow in Switzerland but that was worse.

Great food but terrible, terrible, terrible service. We waited long time, waitress was completely lost. She didn’t know what ingredients are in ordered dishes, then it took some time to explain that we want the whole bottle of wine, not glass. I didn’t get extra ordered egg on my rosti, so she went back to kitchen and brought an egg on separate plate(???). Plate was damaged, and ceramic parts of the plate were in my egg. After complaining to waitress she just said short “sorry”. Nothing else, no any offer to take out this egg from the bill or similar. Restaurant was full, very hot and very noisy. Overall- food quality is superb but everything else, especially service, is terrible. Price - we payed 370chf for 6 persons lunch. We are not coming back to this place. Avoid.

Such a yummy restaurant with incredible views. The classic fondue was to die for, highly recommend. Additionally, the staff was ver accommodating and kind.

Very good food, portions rather big. Choice. Nice atmosphere. Good staff. A really good experience. Located in the middle of the Gruyère Castle area.

The restaurant did not honor the reservation, abruptly telling us that online reservations could not be made so close to the lunch hour. Luckily, Auberge de la Halle was more than accommodating. They were warm and friendly. Excellent service and excellent food!

I liked the food ,it was fresh and tasty.Portions are big enough.service was fast.our waiter was very smiley,full of joy .It has a good location.

The lady who mostly served us was very nervous and it seemed that we were annoying her. She asked us why we ordered just 2 main dish and 1 salad as we are 2 adults and 2 children. It was not polite as we were not very hungry, just wanted to try famous gryuer fondue.

Really lovely restaurant (it’s big and a little touristy but we enjoyed it!). Great food (we had the rösti and the macaroni) and wine. Sat by the window and just enjoyed being a tourist :-)

Very nice place with typical swiss food! Since it was a very pleasant weather we get to lunch outside and it was a great time. Good price cost relationship.

The fondue was terrific but the service was very slow ! We have a very lovely table with the montais view. Highly recommended but please go before you get hungry!

Beautiful restaurant. Service was average and they charge for extra plate for sharing and tap water. Food was fine, but would try another one in the same area next time.

Excellent Food but despite the social distancing we were stuck in a corner. Relation Price and Quality is very good. not as expensive as some other similar restaurant on the site.

Due to social distancing, we are obliged to add space between the tables and this is why we cannot ensure that all tables are facing the windows or placed in ideal dispositions. It is a question of compromise if we want to guarentee a sufficient number of seats to stay open and welcome our guests. We hope this moment in our venue was pleasant nevertheless. Excellent service and delicious fondue! With truffles is much recommended. Stunning views of the nearby mountain range are included free of charge and we had the perfect window seat! Merci / danke vielmol!

Their pumpkin with marron soup is excellent and their staff is very attentive.

the staff was perfect and we felt like they were expecting us even if there were quite a lot of people. the service was really quick ! we recommand the rösti, tthe fondue and the meringues with the double cream and fruits yummy !!
