This is a full on steak house and anyone booking here should know this . I booked this restaurant thinking it was more of an all around restaurant with multiple choices and based on it's high rating. There are very few other options to order beyond steak . Thankfully we both like steak. The steak was excellent and well seasoned and well cooked. there are very few vegtable options to accompany your meal beyond french fry potatoes. they did have a winter roasted root vegtable plate which we ordered but was very heavy like potatoes that come with your steak so that didnt feel like a great choice ... roasted cauliflower, broccoli spinich might be a good offering for those looking for a good veggie meat ratio.

Considering its a meat restaurant, the meat was overcooked. The additionals (sauces) were strange. The wine list confusing and the selection of wines by the glass really weak.

good ambiance, and very cozy. the manager is amazing. for the price the menu should offer more options and the temperature of the meat should've been checked before serving. it's understandable that there is a mark-up on wine but the overhead was a bit too high.

We found HC Restaurant through the Fork app on our first night in Chamonix, and it was spot-on. The charcuterie board was delicious, and the meat was cooked to absolute perfection.
