The Service was very nice and had great humor, the food and wine were delicious, salmon and steak on point. The ambience is warm and welcoming, though it was a bit loud now and then.

The service was top and very friendly. We ordered the ribey steak rare…it was’nt. The meat was too thin to give it a proper cook. The pork tenderloin was overcooked: tough and dry.

Really tasty food, well presented. Great atmosphere. We shared the burrata and bread with butter and pesto, then ordered two different fish dishes and one dessert. There was a real buzz to this restaurant. I would definitely recommend.

We were coming over the weekend when we had been eating out quite a lot. This was chosen as a "wind down" on our last night in Utrecht but the pleasant ambience and the very attentive staff soon had us fully engaged once again. The food was lovely and exactly what we asked for. Some nice little extras as well. Very enjoyable evening.

The restaurant is very noisy. The prices are really high if you take into account that the main courses are served with nearly nothing so that you have to order a little salad and fries for 6,50 each on top of the price of the main course. The decoration is poor, the service was in a rush and not listening well, the menu very standard and nothing outside the menu. Good meat, but that was it for us. No value for money.

Depending on the steak, we take it out of our dry age fridge (tomahawk, entrecote or Rib-eye) or from the fridge (tenderloin). We don't use frozen steaks. I understand your disappointment in your evening but to confirm something that is not correct is far below standard. The only seasoning we use is salt and pepper. On every table we have salt and pepper for the ones who love it more than we want to serve it..... Beside the salt & pepper the steaks are served with pepper sauce or Jachtsauce. After we grill the steak we use the oven to prepair it the way the guests want is (rare, medium). 90% of the steaks are prepared medium rare so it is correct that the steak is raw, but warm, in the middle. We're so sorry to have been informed of this after your dinner via your review. We would have prepared with love a new steak. we appreciate your feedback and looking forward welcoming you again to experience the well-known Het Zuiden feeling.

Seriously overpriced restaurant.Overall it is a pleasant place, but the price/quality ratio is very wrong.Cons:the waiter did not know what is in the menu, there was only one very ordinary draft beer.Pros: fries and salad were very delicious.

Tasty and friendly staff. We had the tomahawk steak and really enjoyed it. Nice location in a cute and busy-ish street (great for people watching). Recommended.

Very nice restaurant with high quality food. The service was very good too - no pressure to order, time given to choose but attentive to requirements. Ate indoors which provided a nice calm environment. Not a cheap restaurant but the service and quality justified the prices.

We booked via TheFork, but received 10 min before arrival that there was an overbooking and we could only sit outside, although two tables staid empty the entire evening. Also quite expensive food and although I liked this restaurant in the past I am not coming back anymore

the restaurant is a gem, I strongly recommend paying a visit. I had the warm fruit de la mer, and that was just brilliant. Staff is very welcoming, and price it's aligned with the expectations.

It's second time we come here, always for special occasion. We really love this place, in particular our waiter that was same of xmas evening, took care of our daughter special order. I really feel like italian fine restaurant, i will come back and recommend it forever. Goed gedaan

Waited an hour for our food. Toilets were dirty. Food was OK, but definitely not worth it. Staff were friendly.

we loved the lunch we had in Het Zuiden, the foods are incredibly fresh and delicious. Easy to make the reservation online. environment and music of restaurant kept us relaxing and romantic. very appreciate.

The food was delicious and prepared perfectly. Great lamb and sea bream out of the green egg. Good wines to go with the dishes. Quick and friendly service.

Both of us had the 3 course menu. One had the Dry Aged Ribeye and the other the combination from Salmon and Prawn. All the dishes came really well presented and were delicious. If there is one downside is that the malbec served is different from the one on the menu (a reserva and the one served was a regular malbec). Would definitely visit it again.

Good food; Nice service, but A bit expensieve for the quality offered. We Will think twice before going back. I don’t think the budget will allow us.

Food and service are good. But we are forced to order drinks. We chose still water, but the staff said they already offered us tap water for free and the quality of tap water was as good as that of the bottle water...
